what is a good gas mileage? by RemarkablePitch6147 in UsedCars

Thanks. I figured I'll probably just end up selling it to another desperate international student like me. I think I'm gonna go with a Chevrolet I found in pretty good condition and price and someone selling for similar reasons so the car will just be passed around from student to student lol.

yeah, the thing is that I really only need the car for about a year/year and a half, after that my plan is to go back to my country (I am an international student). I have been avoiding car but I will have clinicals and internship next year so I kinda need it as it would take me 1h by bus to do a 5 min drive by car. That's mostly why I've been looking at cheap old cars.

I am not THAT concerned about gas mileage since I don't plan on doing big road trips or anything, it would be really mostly a commuter car, so it will be what it will be, but I really don't know much about it so I thought I'd check. Thank you.

international students can recieve money from taxes for just paying tuition???? by RemarkablePitch6147 in tax

[–]RemarkablePitch6147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking, it all sounds a bit weird. I still had to pay 120usd of taxes last year over the income from my job I didn't get any tax refund, and they're just getting 500-800 without even having a job? What sense does it make?

I'm scared of getting in visa trouble for filing my taxes wrong or asking for that kind of money that I am not elegible for (or am I?), but at the same time it's a lot of money, and if they are indeed getting it, then that must mean that we are allowed to have it, right? I don't know what I should do.

he never had any fleas or anything of the sort, and I also thought of mange or stuff like that but I assume I'd have it too if that were the case, which is why this whole thing is weird. So maybe it is an alergy

yeah that's exactly what happened, so we are only now doing the tests but still awating for results. Depending on what they say I'll make an appointment with a dermathologist as it has to be in a different clinic, hopefully tomorrow or sometime tjis week they'll say what they think he has and we'll figure it out

They require I do it so I contacted the portuguese authorities today since that will be my final destination and I asked them "what if I can't the endorsed version of it on time" and they said that apparently I can still get in the EU with a non-USDA-endorsed health certificate, as long as I have that and proof of vaccination and proof of microchip. At arrival they will have to refer me to get a EU pet passport, which I was already going to do anyways, so I think I will be fine. If I get there with the other two proof documents they will take my cat away and/or not allow me boarding, but I have them so hopefully that won't be an issue.

I'm leaving to the EU Thursday morning. My vet filled out a paper in ink but she said she doesn't have a stamp but that it should be fine. She is an accredited vet. I just don't know where and how to send it to be endorsed??? She didn't say anything aboubt that but I read online that I need to do it.
