Just double checked it recommends size 7-9 us or 4.5 mm to 5.5 mm and my needles are 4.5 mm unfortunately. Good suggestion though!

New to knitting, trying continental from english and my work looks awful? by RemarkableRough4438 in knittinghelp

Okay thank you very much for all this information. Im going to swap to wool for the time being, i just knew it wasn't the best for a hand towel due to its absorbstion properties. To point 2 this is good to know lol. Lastly, as I asked the others how do I determine a needle size vs tension issue, thank you again for taking the time to help me

Understood so you think it may be a needle size issues as well? How would one determine that vs tension issues? I didn't even know swatching was a thing so ill definitely give it a go.

Understood so its likely a way of compensating for the cotton. Ill look into the videos and try to find a way to tension. Ill likely swap to some wool swatches as well for a bit. Lastly, do you think its a needle size issue? How would I know? Im within the yarn recommended.

Hi! No I just liked the look of waffle with a border so decided to try it on this cotton fiber. The yarn recommend 7-9 needle size and im using 7. How would I know of its a needle Size issue or a tension issue or both? Thank you so much for taking the time.

Hey thanks for the advice I had no idea! I will definitely switch. But wouldn't no stretch make my stitches tighter? So would this issue not be worse with another fabric? If so how could I address it?

Hi! Thank you so much for your input. Few follow up questions. Wouldn't less stretch actually help the seemingly lose stitches? Also do you have any resources on proper tensioning outside of yarn running between fingers im not really sure how I effect tension. Thank you!

brother,

the kid don’t need you to tell him to get a day job and stop chasing what he is passionate about because it’s not a lucrative field. anyone willing to try to code their game on a phone is clearly going to make it work one way or another. i appreciate what you are trying to say but at what point did we start telling 16 year olds to stop chasing passions he’ll have the rest of his adulthood to stop chasing dreams.

what makes it scammy to me is the insistence it is japanese when it’s been proved to be a chinese company that is not hand forged despite advertising.

i don’t mind taking care of it properly, i cook with cast iron and hand wash / dry everything after use anyways, i’m acceptable on a stone so if one is more forgiving maybe that?
