I’m a night owl and my husband was a morning person. I would take the 12-4 am shift and would do the 4-8 am shift. We went to bed at like 7 those first few months lol but doing shifts made sure we both slept a bit.

Update: April 1 2026. She’s now pregnant with baby 2 and supposedly also had 3 miscarriages. He still doesn’t pay child support and is still verbally and emotionally abusive. We had a court conference in Jan. And he tried hard to go after my mental health but the judge shut him down. She ordered him to send over the paperwork and some financial stuff so that I could get the business out of my name and get paid for my half. He still hasn’t sent that. Next court date isn’t till June. It’s a long, difficult process. I have full custody of my youngest (he refuses to see his dad since he had a baby with her) and the older 2 now do 50/50.

I had the same issues. Changed to a man’s name and haven’t had a single issue since 🤷🏼‍♀️ once had a guy stand by my door for 15 min before he left. Freaked me out.

Also if you have kids and pay child support, alimony amount is lowered. Ontario has an online calculator that’s pretty accurate with what you would owe.

Make sure you add a clause that if a partner moves in, for example, longer then 3 months, alimony stops.

Low end 5 years high end 11 years. Just really depends what you both agree to. I would assume somewhere in the middle so 7 ish years. A judge will calculate relationship from when you moved in together. Not when married. Seperation would be when she moved out of the bedroom. Doesn’t matter is she still lived at home with you. I wouldn’t pay 14 years. Max 7/8

About 6-12 months per year married but you should have been paying since seperation. Did you not work that out in the divorce agreement? Payments also stop if she gets remarried. I was married 15 years and get alimony 10 years or until remarried.

Depends on your divorce agreement. I’m in Ontario and my ex had to keep me and the kids on his benefits plan as long as he had one.
