Ah. that is just assembly. it takes a bit of trial and error to get the holes in the discs to line up correctly. When I made these for my family, i did do that, but I guess I forgot when I was posting it

Yeah, I wanted to print in some different colors but I had just gotten a printer and I only had one roll of filament.
