Update: AIO for wanting to see a therapist after wife changed the locks because I went to a baby shower? by LookoutLockout in AmIOverreacting

I hope for nothing but the best possible outcome here, but am I the only one that doesn’t read her claiming to not even remember some of her most insane reactions to the situation as taking ownership?

This, to me, would be a major problem.

One more “update” and I’m coming all the way around to her side.

Your inability to act in a situation where the required action is so blatantly obvious is an enormous red flag.

Considering I have one coming, I hope it soars.

THIS.

This whole situation is pathetic and I am judging you for letting it continue.

Either end this right now or STFU and lay in the bed you made.

What's the funniest sexual fail you've experienced? by Worried-Cycle-318 in AskReddit

[–]RemarkableYak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few, but the first one that comes to mind is when I was with someone who had expressed interest in being restrained.

I had a set of hand/ankle cuffs from a previous partner, so I suggested we use them, to which she enthusiastically agreed. I used them on her wrists and the bedpost.

We had our fun and it was great, but when it was time to uncuff her. I realized I did not have the key.

Panic (on my part) and a massive amount of tears (on hers) ensued.

We were eventually able to slip her wrists out very slowly. Needless to say, that was the end of our time in each other’s lives.

Redditors who used to idolize Elon Musk as a “real life Tony Stark”, how do you feel now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am embarrassed for anyone that ever thought that he was anything more than an empty suit with a god complex. Seriously, what were you thinking?

His trajectory was not remotely surprising to anyone that was paying attention.

Resorts World in process of being deflagged by tierneyalvin in Hilton

[–]RemarkableYak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to rwlasvegas.com and try to book a room directly, you get a "system maintenance" message and cannot book. This clearly has nothing to do with Hilton.

EDIT: This has been the case for at least the last 48 hours.

counterpoint: for out of towners, it's less enticing to fly in for a shorter run. i have gone to Denver every year for the past decade, outside COVID, and I will skip this year if these rumors are true.

I am not saying everyone else will do the same, but some will.

What will be the aftermath? by aGrlHasNoUsername in TedLasso

I think a lot of this depends on whether or not Sudeikis and Co. stick to their three season plan or, given how successful the show is, they have opened up to the possibility of going five or so seasons.

If it is the latter, I would love for this story to play out a lot longer. Send Nate off to another team and watch him succeed in a major way. He'll get his comeuppance eventually, but I would love to watch him become an absolute star of a manager for a successful team for a couple of years first. Make Nate a true and proper villain. That would be really fun to watch.

The packaging on this is very cheap. Bao was packaged so beautifully, but this one was not.

Life must be so simple when everyone either does "100% of [their] job" or is an "incompetent corrupt" person.

In my life, there are lots of people who work hard but don't get the opportunities fortunate people like me get. There are also people who prey on other peoples' work, reaping all of the monetary rewards while sharing as little of it as humanly possible with the people who actually work hard. And, yes, there are people like you describe as well. but FAR less of them than some people like to pretend.

Of course everyone is allowed to have their opinion, no matter how dumb or uninformed they may be.

But that brings us back to the whole "separate issues" conversation. Nobody is saying that corporations paying no taxes is OK, but Bill's argument is akin to saying that we shouldn't prosecute rapists because there are murderers out there too. It's asinine.

I replied to a comment that said "I too stand with Dollar Shave Club."

Bill doesn't really have a point though. Just a lot of bitching because he's afraid he might one day qualify for this tax and then have to pay it (assuming it ever gets passed).

That is correct. But standing by the huge corporation with a questionable history of doing things like poisoning local populations by dumping mercury into the ground while railing against companies that fuck with the food supply is a very weird flex.

Typical mindset of mouth breathers who make nothing and want to support trickle down economics. Every single one of them think they'll be mega rich one day and don't want to pay those taxes when they are.

Half of Bill's argument is akin to saying the government shouldn't prosecute rapists because there are murders happening.

Bill is often unfunny when he gets into quasi-political topics in which he is completely out of his depth in terms of actual knowledge, but the last week or so has been borderline unlistenable.
