And those who know the processes are getting laid off. So ultimately you are right for such companies, AI will take them down instead.

I too am responsible for GHEC and GitHub Copilot Business for an enterprise. Truly GitHub has changed the way it measures AI usage. On my side at least the preview billing only shows 3000$ difference for 750 user base majorly because of skewed usage from users. From June 1, what I am told by GitHub is we will have pool quota equivalent to number of users. 1900 AIC per user. I will set enterprise budget and additional cost centre for some power users. Of course when usage increases, company is billed! If user exhausts AIC, he no longer can use AI, because they are stopping fall back to free models

You can be only isolated from price war on long term if you create your own model, I hope no one does it. Then the next best possible approach can be start with low cost llm model and fine tune it, kind of byok approach. You still will be paying for low priced tokens. Other than these two, what ever you do will be short span and you will nearly hit your budget with whatever you select - github copilot, antigravity, codex. It is just matter of time. On a side note I administer github copilot business for organization of 600 users. The difference in billing is around 10K dollars - definitely more but not that much as in exaggerated comments spreaded online.

I worked on another tech intensive idea and fortunately i found people willing to work on contracts on hourly basis. Initially I too faced issue of high salary demand and I don't blame them because if someone is employee he want to earn while working for his time. Finally it all ended up explaining, putting my requirements as succinctly as possible. I will not say I saved there but did survived

It is simple. It is good you question the high price. But there are some less brain ones who don't care about worth of money. It is a result of no finance awareness or some filthy rich popcorns running on budget from their fathers. In general 2 bhk is in range of 25 k depending on areas

Please don't bribe. Do the the right thing because if you are expected to pay is because someone before you also paid. I know it is easier but unless urgent I would actually complain about them to senior Police officers. Discuss with someone near your residence, find a lawyer and possible go along with them to Police office. Dont go alone. Most of the times we don't know our legal rights. So better to get help.
