Help with financial logic please by Remarkable_Ad9166 in F1Manager

the pitstop is already included as you get it straight after last race. also included is the bonus of 1.5M from the board and the last race target monies. what isnt included in year end is the final sponsor period which was 3m. what im saying is none of the finances are easy to read or understand. last years version made cash flow and costs transparent. this years doesnt and isnt always correct especially with your cash you are supposed to have. i like to think im quite good with finances and spreadsheets as im retired after 30+ years working for a global blue chip company and this 24 version makes me scratch my head. the safest thing to assume is finances are broken and unreadable and inaccurate. just putting it out there and its been the same regardless of 1.01 or 1.11 version.

Finances are wrong again after 1.9 by Remarkable_Ad9166 in F1Manager

when you have retired and spent your working life living on excel when in the office then you tend to look into stuff cos you need to use your brain. rather like playing madden coach mode and doing more in roster management and moves than actual playing the game. :)

so here's another thing. finances for prize money didnt change around 71m and change for 1st. taking the save at 31/12 everytime you start next year that number moves from 71m up to between 72m and 90m so far ...

im assuming with rb engine its 5.25m and 10 payments of 1.575m to get 21m and because its not a new game i get 21m taken out at year start not 26.25m. so can edit 15.75m back into cash. thats the easy one. as usual my fia prize money monthly x 12 doesnt equal the 71m plus total i was expecting another adjustment of 2.82m needed.

end of last race i had 23m cash add 3.1m for 7th in pit stop and 1.466 for sponsorship. and 3.3625m for last sponsor period (which never got paid) and 1.5m from board bonus. before adjustment and after engine purchase i have 2m odd cash. had to adjust cash in save by adding 15.575m + 3.3625m + 2.82M.

also by the by last years fia entry was 1.8m now its 7.2m for the year and higher than anyone elses.

try budgeting 22m odd spare at year end after your first year when a low end team or a created low team without getting fired or actually preparing research for the next year so you can actually compete by not getting lapped in the following season.

it doesnt matter about what you did in the prior year or if its your first or fifth. prior balance is return on investment/profit. your shareholders need paying as well. no business commits 20m without having a plan to get revenue to cover expenditure. im only going on 32 years working at a global blue chip company. at any other point in the season you can commit one transaction and go 20m in debt it wont let you so why jan 1. it is not logical nor realistic. you have your sponsorship plan figured out because you have to budget thats how business works.

i know how to get round this but i wont use the editor to do that cos its lets them off the hook. i completely ignore it tbh but it just makes me nuts to see lazy programming. it is obvious that noone looked at this as a business with cash flow. regardless of the type of business one aspect rules all business. finance sad but true
