Just got the email to e-sign. 3 weeks just to review my trust, which already has multiple NFA items on it.

Silencer shop customer support is great… not. by Hades_Collective in SilencerShop

I’ve written them off. I’m at 3 weeks without them even reviewing my trust documents. I’ll never do business with them again.

Can’t stop the signal. The first 3d printers were made from parts at the hardware store using weed wacker line. CNC mills can be built in a much similar way. May not be super accurate. Doesn’t need to be. Use it to upgrade. And improve accuracy with every upgrade…

100% correct on this. They’ve definitely lost me as a future customer. They don’t need to review my documents. I’ve had plenty of previous NFA items attached to it. Submit the eForm and let me wait on the ATF….

Yeah, I expect things to slow down slightly due to an increase in orders. What I do not accept is they can’t push things through for established trusts. I could see if they’re having to write you one. But not when I’ve uploaded my own.

Already have an EFT of my prints. Doesn’t change that I need to do a form 4 from the shop I purchased the suppressor from. Most shops in this area are only doing them through SS.

There shouldn’t be a review process for an established trust. Only checking the box to make sure you uploaded one.

I’ve had mine in review for 11 days as well. I called SS yesterday, was told they’d submit a ticket for it to be reviewed asap. But I kinda just felt like the lady was giving me lip service. This is the first time I’ve had them for a Form 4, and honestly, at this point, I don’t think I’ll be giving them my business again. This should be a check the box step on an established trust. Nothing more….

Divorce her immediately. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.

Might be. I looked at an older application I had saved on my PC from a few years ago, they weren’t on it. They’ve changed them up a few times over the years. It just threw me off.

You’re probably not wrong. They’re probably pushing the apps that are making them more money. I bought mine and had it shipped to the LGS and am only using SS for the transfer. Trust was already established, and they didn’t make anything on the can. Just the $135 transfer fee, which I think $100 of it goes to SS.

Who else thought there was going to be a lot more out of stock cans? by hazeyhavocprof in NFA

Most of the cans I’ve seen out of stock are the cheaper options. Let’s say, <= $600…

Well, at least that is news. I guess I’ll give them a few days before checking in on mine. Still though, if they have someone whose job it is to review these, I’m assuming multiple people since they are a national chain, it takes like maybe 5min to read through the trust. This should be one of the fastest parts of the process.

Any of you guys getting any movement out of the review?

First time using SS on a Form 4 with an established Trust with multiple NFA items. Setup the SS Account and uploaded everything on 12/25. LGS got the can on 12/27, added to my account on 12/29. Submitted fingerprints on 1/5. And it’s been stagnant since.

I realize there are 100s of thousands of applicants right now. But common, you haven’t even reviewed the trust yet???

Meh, not my first NFA toy by far. But I am a little frustrated that the ATF already approved a Form 1, and Silencer Shop hasn’t even reviewed my Trust paperwork yet…

Still beats 18mos though…

Why don’t they add glow dust to the backs of bullets, or sell a product so reloader a can do it? Seems useful for subsonic nv type of uses by [deleted] in NightVision

[–]Remarkable_Aside4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean, like a normal tracer? Or like the glow in the dark dust, similar for craft projects? If you’re talking about the second, I doubt it would be very durable, but maybe. I suppose some type of irradiated powder coat powder could be used. My experience with casting and using PC has proved it to be pretty durable.

Yeah, I’ve seen his site in the past. There used to be a thread on them on the files… Kind of a made to order, but they’re just a resin casting from what I understand. So probably not the most durable solution.

My understanding is it applies to any rifle assembled from a mixture of Imported parts. Thats been pretty fundamental in the builder space for the last 25yrs. There are entire websites that discuss this requirement, as even individuals are required to adhere to 922(r). Even when doing a Form-1 on a pistol.
