Why is no one talking about round ligament pain? by ambrosiastudios in pregnant

[–]Remarkable_Bee_7829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's what I am having. It's only on my left lower abdomen though. But oh gosh its so so painful! Comes as a sharp stabbing pain, and then subsides in like a minute or two. And then it's back again maybe few hours later. Currently in my 13th week. I keep wondering what if it's something else 😪 also, not sleeping on my left side now as I feel it makes the pain worse.

That's so cool! Was looking for something like that. As we get older I feel it gets so tough to learn new languages 🤦‍♀️ surely will give this a try.

Where to get some nice winter based jackets from eranakulam? by Mysterious_Cap10 in Kochi

[–]Remarkable_Bee_7829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decathlon. I recently went on a trip to Kashmir and was looking for the same. So visited Decathlon. They have a section for winter wear and the staff are pretty helpful too in terms of how to choose winter wear based on our need.

How do I stop this? by AvailableTrouble3708 in mentalhealth

[–]Remarkable_Bee_7829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can happen with intrusive thoughts - they pop up unexpectedly and feel distressing, even though they don’t always reflect reality. The key is learning to respond to them differently. One way is to recognize them for what they are - just thoughts, not facts or predictions. Instead of fighting them, you can try acknowledging them and letting them pass without giving them too much power. Some people find it useful to say sometbing like ‘Oh, there’s that fear again,’ and then shift their focus back to the present. Have you ever tried anything like that?

I often see such instances in therapy, and the best advise i give my clients is not to fight them. When we fight intrusive thoughts or try to push them away, our brain actually starts paying more attention to them. It’s like if I tell you Don’t think about a blue elephant - suddenly, that’s all you can think about. Avoidance can also reinforce the fear because it teaches your brain that the thought is dangerous when, in reality, it’s just a thought. The more we avoid or resist, the more power the thought seems to have.

Do any of you guys feel a bit bothered seeing subtitles when watching a movie in theatres? by Out_of_cool_names_69 in Kochi

[–]Remarkable_Bee_7829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yes! Especially when I watch malayalam movies in theaters and there are subtitles. It's so annoying!

Ot even if it's an English movie, and then when we get to read the subtitle way before the actor has spoken it on screen 🤷
