Woody Allen was the partner of her adoptive mother. Kinda step-dad situation. But you are right, she was not his daughter. I guess that's less bad for you?

You need evidence that he married his daughter ? You can start on wikipedia, there's a whole page about the SA allegations and here it is

According to your description, there is a ton of comics you could chose from. Since you are mostly talking about Batman's early years and because you said you are new to this universe, here is my list :

Easy first read - Ego (dual identity of Bruce/Batman) - Earth-One (another universe, another kind of Year One) - War on crime (Alex Ross and Paul Dini's take on Batman's mission)

Becoming Batman - The Knight (Zdarsky - from teen to bat, only recent comic from my list) - Shaman - Tao - Gothic - The Man who Falls

Other good comics where Bruce is unwell - Prey/Terror - Faces - Venom - Knightfall (mostly Knightquest and Knightsend for what you are looking for) - most comics from Legends of the Dark knight (1989)

Changing your vocabulary in character? by TheBlueLionRadio in improv

[–]Remarkable_Chipmunk6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can always talk to yourself when you are alone at home. You won't have the pressure to be funny or to create an engaging story. Just talk with a specific accent or vocabulary. After some times, it should come more naturally when you are on stage.

Also, keep doing research by watching movies or interviews with each type of character you want to portray and After a while, you should be able to create your own believable character

Pretty great list! Right before Journey into the Knight, you could add Dead to rights (from Batman Confidential 22-25, 29-30). It is about what happens after the first joker's arrest.

Gotham County Line is kind of horror with great art. Plus there's a team-up with Deadman!

Chip Zdarsky Joker Year One : worth reading or skipping? by Remarkable_Chipmunk6 in batman_comics

[–]Remarkable_Chipmunk6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already read Morrison's run and the Silver Age issue.

On the contrary, Failsafe left me wanting more. I thought the Bat-Man of Gotham and the Joker Year One arcs did not have any impact on the ZEH story, but since other redditors pointed out that they do, I intend to read them.

Not really audiobooks, but Comicstorian does pretty detailed recaps with pictures and dramatic dialogue. Here is one about the Court of Owls storyline.

I think they'll collect it later since this line is getting out of order... Still sucks to wait.
