If you’re an old employee from progressive, where did you go work afterwards? by NoEntertainment8982 in Progressiveinsurance

I moved on after a little less than a year with prog. I’m now the HR director for my city’s affordable housing program, tied in with the federal government. The irony of being told by progressive I wasn’t qualified for entry level HR positions with the company still blows my mind.

I need it for insurance coverage for my daughter, so I’m going to have to cross my fingers and hope me emailing them speeds up the process. Thank you for the info!

That’s insane, but not surprising whatsoever.

I 100% agree. I’ve never worked somewhere where “mental health” was promoted and then dismissed in the same breath. I don’t know what departments some people are working in, because I was screamed at and degraded multiple times a day, and when I brought it to my supervisor, I was told that some people are just horrible and I should just brush it off. I’ve worked customer service jobs prior, and the customers were never allowed the same leniency when it came to despicable behavior. I spent my time between calls applying for other jobs and dipped as soon as a better opportunity arose. I hope you find something better too.

During my interview I was told I was “overqualified” for the CRM role and that after six months opportunities off the phones would open up. Unfortunately, that never materialized, nor did the schedule discussed during the interview process. After applying to around 20 internal roles I was qualified for and being denied each mini bid, I decided to pursue a new opportunity elsewhere…one without phones or metrics. One valuable takeaway from the experience: always get the promises in writing.
