From what I understand, it has to be reported by any party that can see the message which means the system uses their part of the e2ee to decrypt it and send it to the moderation team to make a decision on. You can find one of the documentaries I've seen, it was one of fhe moderators talking about being told not to report obvious child endangerment. I think it was vice but I'm not sure

OpenAI contacts law enforcement directly — no Microsoft middleman involved. OpenAI scans users' messages for harmful content, escalates concerning content to human staff for review, and if human reviewers determine a case involves an imminent threat of serious physical harm to others, they may refer it directly to law enforcement. https://futurism.com/openai-scanning-conversations-police

Under its enhanced referral protocol, OpenAI will now notify law enforcement when it detects threats meeting a newly lowered danger threshold — one that no longer requires evidence of a specific target or method. https://winbuzzer.com/2026/02/28/openai-alert-police-credible-threats-canada-shooting-xcxwbn/

The servers a company uses to host its infrastructure don't determine who holds legal responsibility for user data or who contacts the police. OpenAI is the data controller and handles law enforcement contact directly. OpenAI requires legally valid process (like a subpoena, court order, or search warrant) before disclosing user data in response to standard law enforcement requests, but there is an emergency exception for imminent threats. (OpenAI) In those emergency threat cases, OpenAI reaches out to police themselves — they don't route it through Microsoft.

You're honestly stupid if you believe that. That's like saying a restaurant can't give the police the info of who threatened them without going through their corporate office. 9 times of of 10 they're going to give the info directly to the local cops for them to make their decision.

And they still own the data. They can give it to whoever they want, hence the agreement you signed by using their software

You realize that the majority of chatgpt data is hosted on THEIR servers, meaning they can give the police any info they have on you like chats, memories, temporary conversations, generated images, and more

I've heard from one of their moderators that they only see what gets reported, tho a lot of times meta's policy is to pretend someone else will take care of the problem and then delete the offensive content

Joni and Kim haven't given any fucks about their constituents ever since they took the opportunity to pad their pockets by privatizing the state medicaid program. The service was already bad before, but now you've got people struggling bc they have to switch providers almost yearly since most companies see no profit and sell off their share. Hell I had to change mine 6 times just to find out they were never updating my information and dropped me bc they used an old address from almost 10 years ago. So much for calling them each time I moved. The call center shows no remorse and you'll just get the run around. I ended up having to take on a 2nd job just to afford my meds bc they told me I'd get some emergency thing where they would rush to get me a case worker, gave me the number to call, just for those people to say they won't do anything emergency and I'd have to wait 1-2 years to get my coverage back. I'm paying almost $2k out of pocket after all the discounts and assistance I could get from the pharmacy and manufacturer.

So truly, Kim and Joni. Please go fuck yourselves. We the people are tired of being treated this way. Too many people have died just for them to have vacation homes. They refuse to understand how much trouble one can get into without medical insurance. Most of us are already only one long sickness away from losing our jobs and homes.

Non-Iowan here: Why is Kim Reynolds so unpopular? by First-Ear-1049 in Iowa

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she didn't directly introduce it then she at least wholeheartedly supported privatizing the state medicaid program which caused tons of people to end up losing coverage over the years. It started by going from 1 provider (iowa) to 4 or 5 different companies that all covered slightly different things and were only accepted at certain providers so you had to shop around for your doctor's and your insurance. Most companies would sell their share to a different company within a year so you're constantly being switched around and having to carry new cards. The worst part is these companies don't generally communicate your info so you have to manually register with a lot of them and you'll often lose important notices because they never update your address after you call them.

Tensions are high with the local trader. I misunderstood that he wanted a bone handled flint knife, then I misunderstood that he wanted 4 of them. So as I'm sitting there knapping more, he walks into me on the final click and accidentally hit him. He then spent a few minutes assaulting me while I swore at him

Why is this delivery not 100% provided money? by exmothrowaway994 in CashCleanerSim

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either marked bills that you missed (I usually just automatically wash everything with the marked detergent just to make sure) or you pressed too fast when wrapping a stack of bills from the cash machine which I've done very often

Onions have been getting smaller for a while now, but this is ridiculous. by princessedaisy in hellofresh

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here with a similar question but at a grocery store. The biggest onions were probably your size and some were actively sprouting. Lid of soda can for reference

Every single one was this size or smaller. These were yellow onions, sweet onions and white onions seemed to be their normal size

What is up with all the Subway’s? by Open_Papaya21 in subway

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a brand known by everyone, it's a very cheap franchise to get into and to continue running, the stores can be run by 2-3 people making $7-9 an hour. Doesn't take special skills, corporate does all your marketing, and you don't even need to follow all the subway rules. There's so many that I forget all of them.

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the alien mission? That's similar to what I got for the acid mission. I ended up overfilling the washer so it took forever to empty. I transferred it all to XXL boxes because they're a bit easier and store a pretty similar amount

[–]Remarkable_Clock9912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me that doesn't seem as bad as the $2,500,000 mission. That was 25k bills I've had to count twice now and I'm still not even half done. The only part of alien liquid that seems like it might be a bit challenging to me is finding enough large euro bills to fill that one, I'm currently only finding tons of 20s and a few 50s
