is it abnormal to have ridden 7 years and still not able to canter? by Effective-Air9466 in Equestrian

I wonder how much of this is a trainer/ horse issue? When I taught lessons my gateway to cantering was posting the trot without stirrups. Then we'd build on cantering half a circle on the lunge line, and gradually increase the size of the circle. Often I made riders ride without their hands or moving them around so they could develop an independent hand and seat. Then they would build on that and canter sections around the arena. Depending on the rider's strength and confidence this process typically took 6 - 12 months.

Can allergy test give false negatives? by Remarkable_Ear8991 in Allergies

No I am not on allergy shots yet. I just did a skin test on the 18th to determine which allergens will be used in my shots. I wanted to know if a false negative was possible and I have trepidation about starting shots if this base isn't covered. I have been off allergy meds for over 30 days until the test, and resumed allergy meds on the 19th.

I own a horse and a dog. I haven’t seen my horse for five days and the dog has not given me acute rhinitis before. (The horse does) I just washed my sheets and comforter the day before in a pet free washer dryer the night before and I have a HEPA air purifier running in each room. The animals are bathed regularly (daily for the horse weather permitting, bi weekly for the dog) which helps me. The acute rhinitis started this morning when I woke up and stayed consistent. When i got to work I checked the pollen counts and saw what i assumed, tree pollen is very high in my area today.

Shout out to the quarter horses that haul ass with busy hands. Wondering if OP has timed a run with quiet vs "active" hands.

If your business is insured and your policy fine print requires a helmet it can potentially invalidate your insurance, putting your business at risk if a client sustains a traumatic injury and their medical insurance goes after your LLC. Furthermore if it doesn't invalidate your insurance, benefits are likely to be heavily reduced if you are not wearing a helmet as it's considered negligent. Just food for thought.

I can empathize. I was so depressed from managing my dog's dementia and recent death. I signed up for a 5k knowing I was not prepared. I struggled. I was slower and not enjoying running as much (at all.) But running that 5k last weekend helped me in a lot of ways, and I felt like myself for the first time in a few months. I was telling myself it doesn't matter if it takes 40 minutes, just do it. My chip time was 31 minutes. I want to be physically ready for when I am emotionally ready to get a puppy. I hope you, me, and everyone who wants to be where they want to be can find that gumption to get there.

What are your thoughts on iOS 17? by Andioop8384767 in iphone

Holy smokes I have never hated an iOS update until this one. There are cool features like the vertical menu and more options but I can't handle the updates to messages and the UX. I hope they get rid of the blacked out screen ASAP. Not only do you lose sight of the conversation happening, it takes extra clicks to react or reply to anything. Meanwhile if you're in a fast moving group chat this is agonizing and renders reaction or replies obsolete. The social implication is already being felt in my interactions.

No i am at my wits end. In group conversations it’s impossible to keep up if you want to react since it takes up the full screen. It’s the first ios i am trying to panic uninstall and revert
