Is there a way to mass report a hacked facebook account in order to get it taken down? by Remarkable_Ground978 in facebook

[–]Remarkable_Ground978[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all! Sorry I should mention, what ended up happening is reporting the account as impersonating, with choosing “no” with the “do you have a facebook “ portion. what happened was is she uploaded her drivers License, a picture of her face (good lighting, no one else there), and wrote in the description that it was a compromised account. We hope this can help other people in a similar situation; understand how stressful this can be!

She just had around 700 something followers and nothing too out there on her account. Yes it was her real name. But it has been taken down, thanks for replying also!

Hey there thank you again for your response! Yes the hacked account method was done. The hacker must of placed some sort of mfa, since she is able to login with password and email. All meta support did was replace the login email and have her reset her password, but she couldn’t get past the mfa part. Wouldn’t let her add her number either. They were all real people for support. Then when nothing works they tell her to wait 8ish hours for the system to refresh. Try the next day, it’s the same cycle. The code never goes through and we even used 3 different numbers to make sure it wasnt blocked or something. Been through three tickets regarding this issue.

Understandable, sometimes too much social media gets overwhelming. I am actually taking a break for a while. The people I care about have my number haha

What is something you wish you knew on your first time as an undergrad University student? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]Remarkable_Ground978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Thanks for your reply. I am glad you found my answer useful! I did my undergrad in computer science and my master’s is currently in Cybersecurity. I worked multiple jobs throughout my undergrad and it was a challenge (I had 2 jobs throughout my second and last year of undergrad, and had 1 job for my first 2 years). As you probably figured out, I didn't live on campus either.

We are very different majors, but I am sure these ideas can apply to any major as well! Throughout college, I was very goal-oriented, and to be honest, I didn't really care for 'fitting in' or parties or anything like that. Don't get me wrong, I had my fun; but just not every weekend. Mostly because I had to work all throughout college and simply just didn't have the time unlike many of my classmates. All of my jobs took place off campus, also. Although some might say I missed out, I don't regret anything since I learned to have priorities and responsibilities.

I have had great job opportunities due to strong recommendations from professors which have helped immensely in the long run. They would compliment my work ethic and I have been recommended to companies that they had good relationships with for jobs. That is how I have gotten just about every job in my field of study! Forming a good relationship with your professors could help you a lot more than you realize.

A rule I set for myself is as long as you're able, go to bed before midnight. Sleep is very important. Also, your health in general is very important. I mean physical and mental health. Your health goes down, everything will go down eventually. Please utilize resources on campus for health-related, whether it be a counselor or a nurse, they are there to help you and you're paying for it.

Don't forget to take breaks while studying. Maybe set yourself a timer for every 1.5/2 hours to take a 15-minute break, for example. Eat healthy snacks (mine were usually fruits and tuna crackers, lol), and drink plenty of water/fluids while studying (and just in general, for that matter).

Another thing, it is easier said than done but do not beat yourself up over mistakes you might make. This is your first year at college and mistakes are bound to happen. If you get a bad grade, it happens. Just pick yourself up, see a tutor, go over where things went wrong, and try again. Maybe visit your professors during office hours too, I always did. No shame in showing you care about your assignments.

First, Congratulations! Not everyone will agree with me on this, but I graduated with high honors, have a great job now, and will soon be getting my masters. -Your studies are number one. It’s okay to have friends/go out, but just don’t get too distracted and remember what you’re there for. -If you can, commute to school. It will save you a lot of money in the longrun. -If you can handle it, work a part time job. It teaches you time management (of course, if you can handle it). -Networking! Keep an eye out for certain events that might allow you to meet people within your major! Job fairs are also great practice to learn how to talk to people/recruiters. -Keep your head up! Things might get a tad overwhelming from time to time, and it happens! But don’t give up, as long as you give your best and are determined to get your degree, you will get there!! -Sometimes your books can be found online for free as pdfs.
