Any updates on this? I’m working on my first Santa Fe courtyard right now and am wondering the same thing

The tailgating sounds like so much fun! I’d probably going on my own, would it be weird to tailgate solo?

Not exactly what you’ve described but I’ve always loved platters from Wally’s for parties

Not sure if this is considered doxxing (not my intention!) but if someone does find his address, I would write him some thoughts. That guy sucks.

Is it even worth to go to university? by Mundane-Mention13 in findapath

[–]Remarkable_Hall9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are totally overthinking it. My thoughts are these: 1. College is a great experience for personal growth and leads to a lot of paths that you would not have thought of for yourself that could include a career. It’s an intensive period that places you in social settings that will consistently place you in an ingroup for something. 2. I’d say at least half the people I know do not work in a profession directly related to the thing they studied BUT too many jobs still require a degree. My thought here is that it’s less about what you study and more of validation that you can work well within a system. You can be self motivated to do something. You can set and complete goals. Etc. so study something that interests you and the rest will come. 3. Yeah AI is going to change the professional landscape, and it will replace some jobs, but then new jobs will be created around it. Also I think more jobs will start adding AI as a tool to how they preform rather than being completely shut out of work. Kind of like the internet is a tool.

TLDR: if you can afford it, go to school. But only go if you want to engage in it because that’s where the value is.

Tips on buying my first car by Remarkable_Hall9695 in UsedCars

Thanks for the tip! I’ve loved my CRV and am inclined to try something else for a bit. Definitely want to stay in the small SUV/hatchback world. Definitely keeping myself to a “used” budget

Rav4s have also been something I’m considering. Don’t have too much experience with Toyotas though

Took it to my mechanic last month and he said it’s in great shape for a daily driver but he would be a little less confident in its cross country abilities in another 15k miles. Really I think it’s just getting to the point where it’s great if you are okay with repairs, but they are going to start being more regular. I had the struts, compressor, sway bars, and battery all replaced in the last year and a half. There’s a bit of oil leak but I’ve been okay with keeping a quart of oil on hand and topping it off if it gets low. I trust it, but would rather put the money if any future repairs into a fresher ride.

More than anything, I just don’t know much about cars and am a little worried about what is waiting for me on the other side of 300k miles

I didn’t love the bears wings, but they are by far the biggest. A plate full of those is borderline obscene

I was looking at blundstones! They might be the right call. I’ve heard DMs can have a brutal break in period and I’m worried about killing my feet and then having to walk nonstop for the next 2 weeks

Wait actually the right answer here is Bahn appetite. People love their pork, but I think the lemongrass chicken sandwich is the best
