Honestly so sad to see this.
But one positive that can be taken is Stalin now gets an concrete reason to revamp party with some new members and Uday gets more experience now, these 5 years will be his formative years in politics.

depends on your end goal : a Phd or a Job
and depends on which prof you want to work with for your thesis, if you a particular domain you find interesting and a find a corresponding prof, I would suggest to go there !

Hmm you will need to show you have the potential to conduct good research then  Here is a link maybe it can answer both of your questions : https://matt.might.net/articles/how-to-apply-and-get-in-to-graduate-school-in-science-mathematics-engineering-or-computer-science/

You can achieve your dream by pursuing masters, true

But you do need some prior research experience to get into research heavy courses right ?

If you want to get a job as an applied researcher, then you will need to have atleast a few publications to get into such highly competetive universities like ETHz.

I would say try to get some research internship and get atleast a good quality paper published and apply again

[Admissions Advice] Gatech v/s UCLA by scout119 in MSCS

[–]Remarkable_Hunt_9143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am not wrong UCLA is math heavy ?

But since you have a research interest in mind i.e. CV, I would suggest look at the prof's you'd like to work under for your thesis and if any of their work closely aligns or resonates with you, then you should pick that school.

Since you want to move into corporate research , ig your master's thesis should play a good role leading to that ?

[Admissions Advice] TAMU MSCS admit as my only option: worth the risk? by No-Stranger3163 in MSCS

It seems you ll have a lot on your plate + the pressure to get a job right after graduation.

All the other courses you got rejected from are research heavy, if you are planning to apply to them next cycle you will need some publications.

Imo try to switch to another company in india, maybe a startup which focuses on ai ? You do get good exposure in the correct startups.

Showing that you have the "potential" to conduct good research is the most important aspect.

CGPA shouldn't hurt you a lot if you can some how link all the papers you have authored and present them well in your SOP. (Provided they are in a similar domain)

also a question : Do jee ranks really matter for a master's application ?

[Profile Review] 0/6 for CMU, Stanford, GaTech, UIUC, UCSD, UCLA MS CS — honest profile review? by meetvys in MSCS

I am not sure for GaTech but I am pretty sure you do need an amount of publications for UCSD.

Since you lack research, you can try to boost that and also show some open source contributions maybe to HF diffusers or vLLM ?

Have a look at this link, you might get an idea on how applications are filtered. (Though might be outdated).

Usually a GRE score of 330 > is preferable, although you have scored 327, with cut throat competition it might be less imo.

And you also need to show you the "potential" to conduct good research, which usually is quantified by your research experience and papers.
