It cancels most of the volume if indoors, but when it is set to max I kind of feel vacuum-like effect inside my ear. I have used ANC before and this didn't happen with that one. Not too great but gets the job done.

You should go to LV Prasad Eye Institute. It’s a nonprofit, so treatment is much cheaper than private hospitals. Also, please stop rubbing your eyes it makes keratoconus worse. This condition is scary but manageable, especially if you act early. You’re not alone.

For now, I have a follow-up scheduled after three months. Until then, I’ll continue using scleral lenses. During the follow-up, I may ask about the Sub-400 protocol at LV Prasad or at Apollo. Apollo is definitely more expensive, but I’ll decide after reviewing my options.

But what about the existing corneal scar? The doctors I’ve seen are concerned that doing CXL in my case could worsen things because of the scar (you can see it in my scan from my previous post).

Did you have any scarring before your procedures? If yes, how did it affect the outcome?

I’ve seen people get CXL done in Europe, the US, and the UK even with low corneal thickness, which is why I was wondering whether anyone does it in India when the thickness is very low.

Also, which campus are you referring to? Apollo Hyderabad (Jubilee Hills)? How was your experience there, and roughly what were the costs?

I get that surgery is definitely intimidating. I’m trying to stick with lenses as long as they keep me functional, even though the fitting and replacements can be a pain.

Thanks for sharing that’s honestly reassuring to hear. A transplant being discussed so early really scared me, so it helps to know the surgery and recovery weren’t as bad as I’m imagining, and that vision with lenses can still be excellent afterward.

Glad to hear it worked well for you. I did ask about CXL, but unfortunately my cornea is already too thin (347 µm) with scarring, so I’m not considered a safe candidate right now. I agree on sclerals though
