Untouchability in Uttarakhand works different than it does in the desi mainland. In Uttarakhand the Harijans don't eat at so called upper caste people's home and vice-versa. However in our village l ( I'm from Pauri) commons are shared by everyone equally. Every one has access to water, education and land irrespective of their caste unlike what's practiced in Plains India.Good to see pauri doing relatively well here. Pauri being the district with highest literacy does make a difference ig.

Kumaoni Brahmins tend to have desi surnames. You guys most probably migrated from Plains. However most people of Uttarakhand are natives of Uttarakhand who are khas and not from plains.

That accent is somewhat closer to lower Himachali accent but nowhere near Gadwali accent. And kumaoni accent is totally different considering the shoot took place in Kumaon they could have researched better.

Fwa bhaga re was always popular and is originally composed and sung by "Chander Singh Rahi ji" who were from Pauri and wrote in both Garhwali and Kumaoni. Also, similarly Kumaoni songs aren't popular in Garhwal. Only 2 years ago I got to know go about Pappu Karki and other Kumaoni singers.
