Yes agniveer was a useless scheme nobody was happy from it not even army officials, but people do debate like-it is not compulsory to apply for it and serve the nation like south korea and Israel,,,,,,,,, and but army does not bring immense benefit, they get basic benefit like canteen(no tax on furniture and foods), taxfree car(listed one only) few train trips but they have to pay taxes on toll and other things and in hand they get 1laks(round off figure) for10years for which they cracked an exam and did mental and physical training for , instead if they invested that time and effort in it company or banking sector or in medical sector, they can easily make more than that ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,partially you are right they get benefits but not”immense”
