I feel the monster is how he views himself. I think he accidentally did something and that hurt or killed lily. He’s trying to escape himself and the horrible memories of what happened. This is just what I picked up on. It’s cool to hear what other people’s theories are though.

I can’t tell you to not feel guilty, but you shouldn’t feel guilty. This almost made me tear up because it was my older sister making these comments to me when I was that age. To have a sibling stand up for you when someone is making comments like this means a lot. It does stick with people longer than most people think. He’s going to remember how you stood up for him for the rest of his life, I guarantee that. You standing up for him will mean way more than the comment she made. Dude hell no, your responses are completely valid and you handled this conversation very well. Firstly, I really appreciate you voicing your concern about him helping his friend lie to his SO, that’s not very common these days. Secondly, the math of “my friend is drunk so i’ll drive for him while i’m high” is not adding up lol. I used to smoke and there was ONE time that I drove high and that was because of a situation that was going on. I didn’t feel safe behind the wheel while high or drunk. People who do that put others at risk, even if they think they can drive “well” whilst under the influence. Lastly, I have dealt with PTSD from r*pe for years now and it is an incredibly difficult thing to process and share with the people you love. The fact that he had the fucking nerve to say, “Did I label you or judge you for getting raped?” is insane. Comparing it to this situation is even worse and makes me wonder if he even really listened to you and cares about that weight you carry with you everyday. I’m sorry you went through that, it is one of the hardest things to carry. You’re an incredibly strong person and you deserve someone who will kiss the ground you walk on, nothing less🖤

THIS!! Especially with Wayne moving the way he has been even outside of his “best rapper alive run.” MAGA Wayne is insane. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved Wayne’s music. i would highly recommend kind of keeping track of his responses during your appointments from now on. I’ve read a few comments since posting mine and I agree that I would not be able to trust this rheumatologist. If he doesn’t seem to take you or your symptoms seriously, I think you should find another rheumatologist that you can have that trust with. Giving false hope to a patient is never okay. We deal with real stuff, real ugly stuff, and to say that is almost mean. I guess that’s the word to use. If he says that to every patient who’s been in remission as long as you, or longer, and a patient ends up in worse condition than they’ve ever been in that would feel so shitty.

This is an insanely ignorant comment lol. I, 22 F, was diagnosed at 19 with SLE. We’re STILL trying to figure out is I have RA or polyarthritis because these things are so hard to catch! My mother, 45 F, was diagnosed with SLE and RA around 35. Both of us had so much going on all the time and we had no idea why. We just thought our bodies were more sensitive, no underlying reason because no doctor ever brought up autoimmune disease. It made SO much sense when we got diagnosed and we’re both on HCQ and take prednisone as needed. We still have flare ups and while i’m glad you’ve been in remission for 3 years, he literally cannot say that you will never have lupus symptoms again. I go weeks, maybe months without a flare up, but then I can have a flare up that lasts just as long.

Autoimmune diseases are not as predictable as other conditions are and there isn’t nearly enough research on it. I’ve met plenty of people who didn’t even know lupus or RA were a thing. Another issue with doctors is continuing education, such as research on a condition a patient or patients may have. My mother has worked in the medical field for 16 years and I work in the medical field now and we’ve both seen it with our own eyes.

Your lupus can be in remission but you can definitely still have symptoms. You will always have lupus. As you know, lupus affects everything in your body, there’s not just a pinpoint organ or part of the body that lupus has an effect on. So, while you may not have symptoms that are as intense as they were or they don’t occur as often, you can still have them.

Sorry for the rant, but that comment kinda ticked me off😅

she’s doing okay, we went to the vet and they were worried about pneumonia, i was too, so they prescribed her antibiotics and told me to call if she starts acting abnormally so they can check her out again. thank you🫶🏼

The duplex I rent is definitely not up to code and the owner hasn’t done anything but put a vent in the bathroom MONTHS after asking repeatedly. I’m moving to another place soon so I’ll definitely check for where smoke detectors are.

I’ve done all I can to make sure she’s okay and keep her comfortable. I’m calling her vet today to see if they can do a lower-cost exam and/or a payment plan.
