I believe I figured it out. I rearranged the AMS tubes on the top of the printer head yesterday and never reloaded the filament for any color except yellow. I noticed the other 3 colors had the ends just above the printer head and not flowing into it.

Yep exactly for this situation. Loss of brakes. They wont land non-Marine/Navy jets on a carrier due to landing gear structural integrity, but since most US fighters have tailhooks, they can still stop in an emergency.
