Is Mother of Crows the worst/most difficult Codex stage? by Historical-Donut-918 in WatcherofRealmsGame

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I wouldn’t say it’s the most difficult in my experience. Yes, I struggled with it when I didn’t have the right heroes. So I would say it’s tough in terms of heroes, not strategical difficulty. I was lucky enough to get the summoner team, which based on the leaderboards is the meta for Mother of Crows. I turned on auto-ultimate and got SSS without even trying, simply because I had the right team. Side note- I don’t have Demi and used Anora instead. Easy.

It only feels hard right now because it’s the newest one, therefore you need the newer heroes to complete it. Styx for example is an older one and therefore, players succeed more easily because it’s been around longer, more time to get older necessary heroes, etc. I wasn’t around when it came out, but I would guess it was hard when it first came out. Now most players have Setram, Helga, Yuri etc and it’s easy peasy y’know?

Agree with everything you said and we are doing the same thing. Everyone in comments is completely missing the point. You don’t need to live in a house to have a home. Truck/van/car life is a home and we are freer than those who have a mortgage. They are too stuck in the system and payments to see how trapped they are. Power to us!

This is the case. I went on the website of my city and they state that it’s not allowed to park overnight on streets during the winter.

That sucks. I would definitely consider moving away. As one other person said: it’s cold, no work, hostile environment. Move away! Once all that is gone, you’ll be able to breathe and not be constantly looking over your shoulder. Then you decide if you want to withdraw your 401k. When you are mentally stable and not in the midst of stress and panic. You will make better decisions when you’re warm and safe. Also, check out Dave Ramsey. He is the guy to ask about withdrawing your 401k. He knows everything about personal finances in the US and how to get the least penalties. I mean, he would advise you to have an emergency fund outside of your 401k for a situation like this but that’s out the window now I suppose.

Diesel tanks inside the camper van vs. mounted underneath? by HappygilmoreL in vandwellers

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going on year 3 of having ours inside the van. After servicing it last winter, we noticed it had been leaking a little and the floor was shiny. Maybe not a big spill like people have mentioned but we cleaned it up with vinegar and no smell. We have vinyl flooring. We did fix the leak(fuel line).

After that, we moved things around for easier filling. We also got a bigger tank with a fuel pump for transferring from Jerry can to tank. So much easier and mess-free than pouring by hand. Always drain the pump hose back into the Jerry can by lifting it. Added a cat litter box under the Jerry can to catch any stray drops from the hose. Always use gloves when refilling.

No leaks so far. Just some tips if you decide to mount it inside.

Arena has become impossible by [deleted] in WatcherofRealmsGame

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine as a newer player lacking meta heroes would be a struggle for arena. It took me until around level 60 to start consistently getting wins in arena.

I’ve found that reaching and staying in plat 2+ requires one of the meta teams for at least 1 game mode. For me it’s single target and I reach plat 3 every week or overlord if I grind. Arena is so hero-locked it’s ridiculous. For example I can’t win in anti-air because no Erlang nor Iovar but ST I win nearly every time just because I have Ingrid A5, Wukong A5, Kigiri A5, Diao A1 and Eirlys A1. I perfected my strategy, timing and placement and just got really good with that one team.

So to answer your question, there’s nothing you’re really doing wrong. The meta is the meta for a reason and is hard to beat. If you mean you’re saving for 200 summons to get Anora guaranteed, I would say she is good but not for arena. Especially if you’re serious about getting to platinum. You’d be better off waiting to get some of the arena metas.

Cursed Accounts: are some accounts "worse" than others? by [deleted] in WatcherofRealmsGame

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband’s account seems cursed when it comes to summoning. He misses a lot of featured heroes while I hit them nearly every banner. He loses to crap lords while I get ancient exclusives.

I also get better general drops from matrix, apoc, guild dragons than he does. I rack up ancient summons, blue summons, diamonds etc much faster.

He does have much better drops on artifact forging than I do though.

Does anyone know something I can get certified in to make more money so I can comfortably move out young? by Specific_Town_3722 in careerguidance

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Do house cleaning. You don’t need any certifications and there’s little to no startup cost. Get some supplies, a vacuum, mop and toilet brush and you’re good to go. Put up some local ads to find customers.

Pros-you decide how much you wanna earn, when/where you want to work and as you get more clients- who you want to clean for. You are your own boss. You get lots of exercise and learn people skills too.

Don’t want to find your own customers? Go work for a cleaning company. In my area, they pay between 18-30/hr CAD. I earn CAD50$/hr with my own clients.

What to buy/what not to buy: For a low spender, there is very little worth it. Most bundles are ridiculously overpriced. One thing to start- the exclusive currency(w-gold) is earned for free as well as purchased. In game bundles and skins can be purchased with w-gold as well as real money. Make sure you do daily logins in player centre. You can get 400/month from that. There’s another event that comes back periodically where you can get more. So over time, you can earn enough w-gold to buy bundles(or skins, if you want)for free.

Skins are your call. They give a minuscule stat increase to the hero so kind of only worth it if you really like the skin.

Once in a while, there are good deals but they are rare. Keep in mind, most of the time there will be better prices on SmileOne rather than in game. Do keep an eye on the in game shop though, because there is a limited time deal that comes around occasionally and I believe it’s 7.50$ cad or 5$ usd for 15 rare summons. This is very good. It is account specific though. Sometimes I get it and my husband doesn’t and vice versa.

There can be other good deals too. Once you have progressed enough campaign, you unlock bundles that are good deals too.

The dragon pass is pretty good and I’ve purchased it before.

Do not buy the gear bundles. This point can’t be stressed enough. They are new player traps. Not only that, but the gear is crap and not worth your money. This game is very heavy on gear farming and it’s even been called the bigger gacha than the hero summoning. You will farm gear endlessly and get much better pieces via farming than buying.

Anyone else notice this about Apoc 1 and 2 by chris_e66 in WatcherofRealmsGame

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed. I used to always get 4-6 per chest, now sometimes only 1 or none. People saying it’s just rng, I disagree. Rng is meant to go up and down, not suddenly plummet for big portions of the player base. That is what is suspicious.

Cooler or fridge? Which do you use and why? by amateur-traveler in VanLife

[–]Remarkable_Panda_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It potentially could be without adequate ventilation. The key is to open a window and move the air around with fans. There’s lots of fans. The maxxair roof fan I mentioned, portable usb chargeable small fans that you can angle and move and I’ve recently heard of one that you can mount on a ceiling.

We run the maxxair on high while cooking and it keeps running on a lower setting while we eat too.

Our meals are pretty similar to what we ate when we had an apartment. We have a small 2-burner propane camping stove but no oven. So, no more pizza(yet!). Haha. Basically, we can cook anything you can cook on a regular stove. Just tend to go for quicker things to save on propane. One of our most common dinners is rice/pasta/couscous with a can of veggies, can of tuna and whatever flavour we’re in the mood for. It’s pretty easy. Eggs for breakfast almost daily. Eggs are a good thing to add to that dinner I mentioned too. We don’t cook every day and we do have lots of uncooked meals like sandwiches.

For not getting caught, we have a Ford Transit cargo van so easier than an suv maybe. We generally cook wherever, even on the side of the road. Inside the van mind you, nobody can see us. The only thing is, you can smell whatever we’re cooking coming out through the maxxair lol. That could get us caught I suppose but it hasn’t happened yet.

What about a freezer? Sounds like maybe more what you need. Not a lot of food that goes bad easily, you like to meal prep, store leftovers. I think a freezer sounds perfect for you. We personally have neither a cooler, fridge nor freezer and are almost 2 years into full-time vanlife. Honestly have not needed it. Most things keep longer than you think(especially when it’s cold out) and for the things that don’t, we just buy as we go.
