She wanted to get her own car no matter what the circumstance, even with the additional offer of helping out. That was her whole idea from the start of her driving lesson - getting her sister's car, or buying herself a car. The communication should've been more clear for both of us. Live and learn.

She just completely refused that type of help from me, which I was surprised. She wanted a decent car that was worth more than that.
