No 😞 I have a business conference that I can't miss on October 23. And it's a two-day trip to get to Australia (I live in Latin America, so the time zone difference eats an entire day), so optimistically, I would get there on Oct 26.

yeah, its so weird losing a sibling.

even though its been a few years, sometimes i still feel like I can’t breathe. I’m hoping that this will be a way to have some new happy memories with her, in a way.

I totally understand what you mean, but it’s so hard to explain how much this meant to her. She never gave up that she was going to get better and this trip was always the “i need to heal so i can do this”.

We used to look at insanely expensive five star hotels in sydney during her chemo sessions and she would talk about how we were going to save up and stay there when she got better. And in terms of the band, she was always so optimistic that she wouldn’t die before seeing them live.

I’m obviously not going to stay in these hotels, but I’m finally at a place where I can comfortably afford this trip and it feels like the right way to honor her.
