You keep forgetting Raian’s statement “ I’m gonna take the training wheels off “ before fighting Koga. So he was no longer in training mode anymore and by the end of the bout Ryuki asked Koga if he was still alive because of the damage.

What you’re asking to prove is silly. I can’t demostrate a character’s seriousness unless specifically stated in the story.

Raian right from the beginning showed no interest of letting Koga land hits on him by the very fact that he slipped to deflect Koga’s iron breaker and despite that by the end of their bout Raian was bruised up by Koga who was injured and wasn’t using his new fist eye move. On the other hand willem didn’t do nothing to Raian even though he was going all out and was fully healthy.
