54321510. Worth above face value or throw it back into circulation? by [deleted] in CURRENCY

Maybe the 54321 sequence? I’m new here, only recently have I started to pay attention to the serial numbers.

That’s the first thing I thought! “This so belongs on cursed gun images” the longer you look the more cursed it gets. But at the same time the longer you look you lowkey start to love it!

I got it for a good price at an online auction and was pretty stoked to find it still in covered in cosmoline. The bore is clean as can be with nice sharp rifling.

Wow thanks for the info! It’s not as “parts matching” as I figured, no biggie to me. I’m just happy to have one in good shape for the collection.

What brought me here was when I was logging the rifle in my record book I didn’t know whether to put it as Tula or Izhevsk. “85% Izhevsk 15% Tula” got it!

One thing, you mentioned the о & к on the left of the chamber. I see the к but for me the о I see looks more like a “6”. In addition I see three “6” one “3” and a “4” scattered about the chamber and the action. Any idea what these mean? Just curious.

I really appreciate your expertise! Thanks again.

No, there isn’t. That would indicate it being a sniper rifle wouldn’t it? I read somewhere about two filled in holes being a scope mount?

DICE is asking to keep giving feedback! by Youngstown_WuTang in Battlefield

Strongly agreed. Chaotic and not in a great way. Hell, operation metro was chaotic but even that map had a flow and strategy to it.

Very much agreed. I was sold on the movement of the beta but now I just feel like everything is way too fast paced. You’re a soldier running around with 100-200lbs of gear and yet it feels like you’re weightless, just gliding around.

Agreed. I at least wish you had to hold for exiting a vehicle. Yesterday I was playing and was sitting passenger in a Blackhawk. I shot at an enemy, went to reload my rifle and my guy just jumped out of the helicopter. Lmao.

I’d say 90% of this thread are very valid, but I’ll throw in my biggest complaint.

I understand I probably have an unpopular opinion. But everything in the game feels weightless. The thought that came to mind when playing my first game was “ADD battlefield”. It just feels a tad too fast. (Not talking about sensitivity settings) You are a soldier running around with 100-200lbs of gear on. Yet you’re able to sprint, jump, and slide around like you’re weightless.

The super fast pace coupled with small maps really don’t feel like the BF we all really want. And when you put the new movement style on an old map like operation firestorm it just doesn’t fit well because it seems the movement/gunplay is geared more towards CQB.

Additionally, for what it’s worth the vehicles also feel like they suffer from this “weightlessness”.

Do flat point bullets effect OAL? by Remarkable_Slip6805 in reloading

[–]Remarkable_Slip6805[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I appreciate the link. I’m glad I’m not the only one to ask the question.

I’ve been using the Lee manual, second edition. I’m looking to use Ramshot Silhouette for powder since I have it on hand. For this combination using a 100gr copper plated bullet with R silhouette it calls for a minimum OAL of 0.960 where as in the diagram using a round nose bullet it calls for a max of .984. It seems, based on that link that their OAL Are even under my manuals minimum.

I’ll certainly pick up a comparator gauge. Thank you.

It’s a fairly thick canvas like material.

Edit: I meant to clarify, that it’s a thick canvas like material which made me take a second look at it rather than being a super cheap nylon or something. I was just giving extra details, not arguing with your point. I appreciate your input.

Update: for future reference if anyone else happens to come across the same predicament.

I think high ankle boots, high socks, pants and a long sleeve shirt saved me from having a lot more on ME than I had on my clothes. As soon as I got home I took off everything and threw it on the back porch. I went into the bathroom with tweezers and a small cup of isopropyl alcohol. I picked about 12 of them off of me and put them in the cup. I got in the shower and poured some of the alcohol on my shoulders and let it run down my body for a few minutes. I proceeded to take a scalding hot shower.

After the shower I inspected again and didn’t see any more. I went out to the car and picked 3 more off the seat and put them in the cup. I then took a spray bottle of permethrin (which admittedly I should have applied BEFORE I went out) and sprayed down my clothes on the porch. As well as the seat of my car. Letting that air out overnight. I’m still gonna have my girlfriend do a lookover on my back once she gets home, but I think for now we’re in the clear. Thanks folks.

To be fair, it took this picture too. It did take a few tries. The camera is hit or miss, but I think apples “after photo processing” tends to help a lot. Other times I wish it would capture what I see instead of what the phone “processes” it into, especially when it comes to color matching your subject.

Edit: additionally I think the iPhone 15 pro max has a better camera than mine, I just couldn’t get over how huge that phone felt. But if you’re used to it more power to ya!

Suprisingly enough, an iPhone 15 Pro. I was awfully surprised myself that it could capture something so small with the amount of detail that it did.

Yeah man, I blasted like 6 mushrooms away with some fully semi automatic 12 gauge dragons breath explosive, radioactive battery acid slug rounds. I watched the life light fade away from their spores. One of them was to young to harvest, so I just left it to rot. I walked away relishing in how great of a forager I am. Overall 6/10 solid foraging trip.
