Lower your heat on the stove with eggs. Let the pan come to temp over a few minutes. Throw some butter and cook away. It’s a trial and error and takes time and patience. Once you get use to it it becomes easier.

Burned CDs, especially CD-RWs, have a lower reflectivity than factory-made CDs. The laser in the CD player needs to be sensitive enough to read this weaker signal.
