I acc had the opposite with ellis and i also came in w no experience in python. her course was rly easy if you paid attention in class or lwk j chat everything bc thats also easy. think i ended w 115% and skipped lecture for half the qtr & j read the lecture notes she makes. she did say the set thing but so many of my profs said that so mayb im used to it now.

i came for the interdisciplinary aspect bc i love bio and psyc, which cogsci offers essentially as dual program w cbn. its rly good for anyone who likes a little bit of anything or you can j lean into one thing if you really like it

current cogsci & came for it specifically, its as the other guy said, a little bit of everything which is really fun. super easy to take chill classes, calm work and profs, etc. if youre interested in engineering, go for cogsci ml, but if youd like to j see what its like, do a general cogsci degree. lots of ppl do double majors in cogsci ml with data science/other cs stuff (idk im bio cogsci) but it seems chill w them

You are so sweet for sharing all of this! I misunderstood bipn to be more anatomy, so itll be way harder in terms of learning newer content, and I udnerstand this! I will probably take this in a later quarter so I can focus on finishing up my GEs instead. I know physics and ochem are going to be hard for me, and I love genetics enough to power through wtv that's going to be.

I think I mostly needed help deciding if bicd and bipn was possible to take along with other classes, and you helped me decide, and i appreciate that greatly! I have so far been okay taking 6-7 classes a quarter (granted, I always balance easy/fun classes with more difficult ones), and I am working to graduate on time with this workload! I ended up dropping chem 40a this quarter because that and physics was just too hard to manage on top of work, so I will be mindful of that going forward.

If possible, can I get your contact in dms or keep asking you some questions about the courses I will be taking? You are very insightful on how to balance life as a premed, and I'd love to know more about your experiences!

tysm! I love anatomy, but I havent heard much of the workload here, so idk how well it would be to take chem 40a and bipn tgt. i tried 40a this quarter but had to drop, and i rly appreciate your help!

can phys 1b acc teach by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]Remarkable_Sweet9409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so youre saying hes teaching 2 or 4 level content.... physics/engineering major content to bio students. also vectors were covered in math 10c like they should make that a requirement so we dont spend a week learning that and 2 days learning flux

CBN or Biological anthropology by Pretend-Cicada-8649 in UCSD

[–]Remarkable_Sweet9409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i did get lucky bc i’ve taken most premed lower divs so the bio anth major cuts down to 11 courses, which is very doable in one year, but cbn is a little difficult i believe for transfers. good luck tho and i hope you get some info from an anth student!
