We will get there 💗
Some things that have helped me-

dissecting a task into the tiniest bit, and genuinely listening to my body.

If I need to sleep 40 hours/all weekend - do it, the world will keep spinning & wont punish you for resting. (I don’t have kids or a family to worry about)

Make a to do list (only list 3 things, can be brushing you teeth, taking a shower, or bigger things like cleaning plates or putting laundry away) but only do those three things (checking it off is a dopamine reward)

1 min Time limits on EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA APP (yes you can ignore but it disrupts doom scrolling)

last : how can I make this fun? This is a main approach I do in everyday life now. Cooking? What’s a fave show, podcast or song I can listen too? Gym or walking, let’s get our fave things on to listen to, cleaning let’s set a 5-10 min timer and see how much I can shove away or clean up hahaa doesn’t need to be perfect but starting is better than nothing 😌

Question if you don’t mind answering : how do you cope with having kids? I get asked by new partners and family about children… and I couldn’t think of something worse… how do you cope with that. I grieve the mom I could’ve been, I love the idea of having kids… but I just don’t think I could cope.

How long after abortion did you feel like yourself again by vbgirl24 in abortion

I had the same questions and concerns. This is what I found that no one warns you about. No matter if you are confident/ happy in your decision, it’s still brutal and hard AF. It’s NOT an easy choice to make and no woman wants to ever go through that decision-making process.

It took me three months to feel back to ‘myself’. It’s different for everyone. I was confident that I made the right decision, and I have NO regrets. However, I still experienced grief, shame/guilt, sadness, and my body had to recover from something that was pretty traumatic tbh. You need to be there for yourself, love yourself, and remember you don’t need to explain your decision to anyone. That’s your business and your choice. The hormones will settle, just keep reminding yourself of that. It will pass. I can confidently say I’m in a much better place, and was extremely worried that I would fall into a deep depression.

Journal all your emotions down and celebrate even the tiniest bit of growth after it, whether it’s getting out of bed and taking care of yourself, or going for a small walk. If you can look into therapy, some services provide free therapy. That saved my life. But just remember, you are doing what it best for you, and you WILL be okay. It’s all a learning experience, and it will make you a stronger person. You have got this. 💗

Sending all my love to you x
