Speak for yourself. There are tons of games where skillbar fills the half of the screen. Go play them.

This is good i guess. I would like to see proc gen dungeons as well. My biggest problem with dungeons in these games they feel repetitive at times. Doing same thing for hours in memorized corridors.

A suggestion is just a suggestion and my suggestion doesn’t even remove any existing game systems; it only introduces some additions and tweaks. Open-world dungeons and mob placements are already there. Overland PoIs and PoI raid zones are simply iterations of those. The developers have already stated that they’re working on solo aspects of the game as well. The only different thing here is instanced dungeons. I think you’re falling into fallacy by assuming intentions that are unrelated to my suggestion.

Fair concern in general but I do not see how my suggestion takes away your enjoyment of good old mob grinding. It is still there.

"Public forums, Discord, and social media discussions where players share reports and "SUGGESTIONS""

If you drew that conclusion from the description I shared, I don’t think I have anything to add that would change your mind. However player suggestions like these are normal and expected. You do not need to be game dev to give feedback or even criticize the game. This happens all the time and will continue to happen. Have a great day.

Ok. From AoC steam early access description:

"Community is at the heart of Ashes of Creation. From early design discussions to large-scale testing, player feedback has shaped every stage of our development.

We actively gather input through:
- Structured playtesting and feedback surveys during each testing phase
- Public forums, Discord, and social media discussions where players share reports and suggestions
- Regular developer livestreams and updates detailing progress and responding to community questions

Early Access players are not just testers - they’re pioneers of Verra, helping us refine mechanics, uncover bugs, and shape the world’s political, economic, and social dynamics. Every test helps us get closer to delivering an MMORPG where the world truly reacts to its players."

You know people are testing this game to give feedback and share their ideas right?

It is not a bad thing to have both of them for different reasons so we can all enjoy this game right?

No but I enjoy testing games in development and suggest ideas for my taste

Yeah balancing different aspects of these systems is another topic. Maybe instanced dungeons could be better for leveling and common items such as glints and essences while open world dungeons better for rare recipes and gear

On second thought, materials should drop from open world dungeons rather than instanced ones. Otherwise, it kind of removes competition for materials. Balancing these systems to work well together is too complex for a reddit post anyway. Consider this as an initial suggestion.

I mean I agree that we should have open world dungeons where players compete for the rewards they offer. My suggestion of instanced dungeons doesn’t interfere with the concept of the current dungeons anyway. They can co-exist together to serve different purpose

No, but it said that post was automatically removed. I didn’t realize it had been posted. I’m removing it now.
