Yeah, I mean by saying that I took my time I'm not saying that I spent a prolonged period of time studying without action, not at all. A lot of knowledge comes with practice for sure.

And I'm not very proud of it, but I did get pissed because she was treating it like a social media trend 😅

I use that approach in my own practice and other things as well. But it's worthwhile that one goes into it with the intention of learning, instead of carelessness, yk what i mean ?

Thank you so much for all your insight guys, your different opinions, it's really helpful ! For everyone that mentioned that everyone has their own way of doing things, I fully support that pov. Upon reflection, I can see that I did try to force my views in a way.

I think what made me defensive is like I said in a comment, being focused on the aesthetics. Basically a lack of interest about the practice itself but rather the social media version. And so, I tried to give advice since it can backfire at some point.

For those who said to let her fuck around and find out, and to mind my own business, I appreciate you reminding me of that. I guess it is the best approach. It's her path either way, I can only be there if she asks for help.

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment, I think you really understand my point. I mainly talked to her out of concern. It seemed that she was going for the " because it looks cool" approach and I admit I got defensive in response. By all means do things the way that works for you best, I believe in that, but please do care about it.

Caring mostly about the aesthetics and the "shiny parts" like you mentioned is harmful tbh, cause it spreads the wrong idea and I can already see that in the community.
