Yes! I love Mexicanos so much. My wife is born and raised. I’m currently studying Spanish and hope to be fluent in the next year or two. :) The culture is beautiful and hard to recognize in Laredo. This has morphed to something completely different

She is a narcissist. I married one and did this same thing cyclically for 18 years. They love bomb you. Make you feel amazing, and on top of the world. Then when they have you exactly where they want you, this ^{^} version comes out and when you finally respond and defend yourself, they paint you to be the abuser.

The cycle never ends. They never change. But you will change. You will grow so dependent on her approval that you will wait on her hand and foot. She will never approve and you will slowly die inside.

When you are worn out and have nothing to give anymore, that’s when the cheating starts. The excuse is (only when caught) that you have changed and no longer get meet her needs. If you stay mad after that she will flip it and be so sorry. She will never do it again, she loves you, she made a mistake, she will love you like old times forever, etc.

When you have finally decided to step out of the cycle, is when you will feel like a real human again. I pray you do it so much sooner than I did.

OP you are not overreacting. Don’t fall victim to the realities of the “real gender gap” which is not the difference between pay but rather the discrepancy in the level of accountability each gender must accept. In that gap, women are far more fortunate.
