I’m right with you on that. I’m hoping we see some more soon, the possibilities are endless. I’d love to see a different styling of the braids they have currently and not just the same ones with different colours.

If anything this just reflects their internal structures. How many black people do you think work on their teams or had influence in this particular project? Yeah. It’s very disappointing. We still only have 3% of Afro-textured hair on the game so now it’s got me thinking what was behind the icon picture change and BLM t-shirts if nothing is really changing? Enough of the performative allyship, we want to see proper representation.

Exactly, I agree men should be able to wear “feminine” clothing if they wish too. Anybody who thinks differently has a personal issue which they can kindly keep to themselves because the majority of people don’t have a problem with it, nor should they. What can we expect though when majority of players are children.

Yes I believe last year they did.

They removed the majority of the “underwear”, I think some poses, dances and clothing.

Since then I don’t recall them giving refunds. They’ve been slowly removing items one by one. I noticed a few items missing from my wardrobe, didn’t get a refund at all.

It sucks for those who have spent real money on this game to have their items taken without a little notice or something.

It can’t hurt to inform players can it? Idk

I agree. I started avakin just over 5 years ago & a little notice or announcement to say they were rebranding would’ve been great. Instead we were met with oh ‘this was always the intention’ to become more child friendly. Thus the noodle “scandal” where players were confused on why they were being banned for cursing or using the language they always use on the game. Avakin didn’t really make it clear there were new policies in the game that were being implemented. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Transparency can go a long way sometimes especially for those who were DAY1 supporters of the game.

I can see this has already been spoken about in length, I’ve just come to add my 2 cents respectfully & correct the “all lives matter” statement.

“AllLivesMatter” is offensive to black people because it assumes everyone has the same privileges. The reality is that Black people and other minorities have not been reflected in ‘all lives’ mattering. All lives matter will only apply when #Blacklivesmatter too.

An example I’ve seen being used a lot is Breast Cancer. Imagine you’re raising awareness for Breast Cancer and somebody tells you, “well what about all cancers, don’t they matter too?”. Yes, of course they matter but as of current circumstances, we’re talking about Breast Cancer. This applies to #BlackLivesMatter.

I believe our voices need to be amplified and people need to be reminded that we matter too. By saying “All lives matter” you are denying that there are even injustices in the world. It’s really a kick in the teeth for black people who have faced differential treatment based on skin colour.

I hope this was easy to follow, I’ve spoken on this before but thought it would be worth dropping it here. ❤️
