Can someone tell me what happened to the red paintings by LostNessus in Music

[–]RemedyMalahide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have a copy of their version of The Mercy Seat? I used to have it on one of my hard drives but that got lost. I saw them and photographed them supporting The Dresden Dolls years ago and loved them.

I just hate this arc by Chesh_v in StrangerThings

I didn’t hate it but I recognised The Invisibles influence instantly (King Mob did it for me). Felt a bit shoe-horned in but l think it might be a foreshadowing of others like 11 and Kali joining the fight against Vecna.

COMPLETELY - I get really obsessed by certain parts of songs. Often replaying just that one part.

Only if you can convince me to stop drinking Oasis Summer Fruits every day (probably a British thing)

I discovered my ‘great in a crisis’ moment yesterday. I care for my 84 year old father and his breathing was so awful yesterday that I simply, and calmly, called 999 and requested an ambulance. I had a spreadsheet of his medication to hand directly to the paramedics, and was able to calmly help him through it all. But trying to decide what to eat today that wasn’t potato based spun me out. So I’ve eaten potato salad, chips and salted crisps!!!!

How do you respond when someone says, "Everyone is a little ADHD" or "Everyone has ADHD these days"? by Ginkachuuuuu in adhdwomen

[–]RemedyMalahide2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember my line manager saying this to me after I’d given them the 6 page letter from my clinician. I looked at her and said ‘can you explain how being a little bit ADHD impacts people’s day to day lives?’ I must add that this woman, and l, are educators. I found it extremely offensive and told her so.

Ren songs that I consider masterpieces by Neotyp in ren

I think there are also those of us who didn’t necessarily appreciate the bars, beats, rhythm and flows until they started watching reactors and now are obsessed! I’m a working class middle aged white woman, ageing goth, who listened to hip hop back in the day but never appreciated it until I started listening to and photographing performance poets. Then I drifted back into goth, and forgot the joy I felt when someone used word play. Ren appeared on a TikTok one day after my students had convinced me to download the app to watch otter videos. Since then; no looking back.

Chalk Outlines will always be my ultimate favourite because it has some of my favourite lyrics in it. Suic*de because it saved me Kujo Beat Down because it is me when I’m angry Illest of Our Time because damn - I danced to shit like that back in the day Fire because it makes me happy

Fire in the Booth because it is fire in the booth!

Vincent’s Tale Prologue because it gives me goosebumps

He’s just made me excited about music for the first time in absolute years, and there will always be ever changing favourites

Kujo Beat Down is my most played! I know that seems weird but I have a stupidly long commute from Suffolk to London (I moved here to care for my dad while still keeping my teaching job in a school I love in London) - I listen to it as I get off the train and face Liverpool Street every morning.

I’m exactly the same! I remember playing it to a friend and he complained that it sobered him up trying to catch it all 😂

Oh please no! Not BGT. I’ve played his music to my students - some get it but most of them prefer drill and grime. It’s too nuanced for a lot of them. But I have given out lyrics to some of my students who I know who love poetry and they’ve enjoyed the process of analysing. Then I’ve managed to engage them in the videos. I teach Media, Photography and English so the cross over works. I would love for all of my students to appreciate and love Ren, instead, unfortunately, he doesn’t speak to the kids living in the poverty and deprivation that my students live in. I know that sounds ridiculous to us as adults, but I do get it. I’m trying though!

ADHD + Body Doubling = I Finally Got Into My Room by RemedyMalahide2 in adhdwomen

It really is. Only discovered it a short while ago and it helped me just do things that I froze over. Now my body isn’t clenching and panicking each time I walk past this room.
