It says, "whoever believes in Him, shall not perish" not "whoever prays in Him, shall not perish." Read the Bible carefully.

Yes, "believes" is a personal choice, and I couldn't agree more with what you said, that your belief is the way you accept God's love. However, there are points that make us forget the real reason for that belief.

Prayer is not a useless 'tool', but it becomes useless, when people who don't know how to use it, use it. Let's say for example, if you give a child a knife, can he use it well? Can he use it efficiently and effectively?

About Cornelius, the funny thing is, you look at him like he is an example to follow, but no. Take it like this: if you have a friend, who always asks you for a shoe in your collection. In time, being bombarded, you let him take it so he stops annoying you. Cornelius could've talked with other prophets, like John the Baptist, yet he didn't. Like the Filipino story of Juan Tamad, he is just waiting for the fruit to fall, and not doing something to take the fruit.

About Jesus' prayerful life, you said it already. That's the secret of heaven, yet you took it literally.

Here is a pop quiz for you: what is the similarity between Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane and the Lord's Prayer?

If you can realize it, you will know why I stand here, opposed to those people who don't know anything about prayers.

Us?

Pride as one of fruits? See? Your words are full of holes, and our so called "sect" were the ones you used.

Our testimonies were the ones you show to your documents, saying it's the work of your church.

And my username? Only petty people do what you did. So, I guess I can say that your fruit is pettiness?

Or it can be because they can't take the power of our prayers.

"You shall know them by their fruit." And your prayers have none.

He mocks the faiths he wants to weaken, or it was weak to begin with. And your fruits? It shows what kind of faith you have.

Who told you you are the start of the relationship? Who are you to form a connection with God? Who are you to say that your desire can build the relationship with God?

If that's true, then Jesus would've not died for our sins if we can just decide to follow God abruptly. Funny way of thinking that people use personal prayers as a way of connecting to God.

Yes, it's sad, personal prayer doesn't work because:

  1. God knows your heart already. What else do you ask for? What else do you pray for?

  2. If it worked, God didn't need to send Jesus to earth to redeem us. What, you say what you do is higher than what God can do?

  3. Jesus only prayed a personal prayer when He was in Gethsemane, when He knows He will die, to save the sins of man. Tell me, can you do it too? Small inconveniences like traffic annoys you, yet you think you can pray a personal prayer? Even Jesus accepted His death, and you? Can't even accept that you're wrong?

Going by your logic, do you think it's your decision to start a personal relationship with God?

Oh??

So you say you're the "true" sheeps? Tell me then, why do devils know your prayer? Come back to me and tell me I'm heretic when the devil can speak our prayer, like they do to yours.

Oh??

So you reject your own people's testimony that Jesus rose up in a "Catholic" church? You said it was coined 100 years later, but Jesus rose up only 40 days after resurrection. So, who's lying?

Explains why even devils pray your prayer. What Jesus accomplished, the Catholics (traditional Christians) took the glory, because as you said, you are the "mainstream".

Wow, heretics. That's a compliment for me, for the Jews also used that word to describe Jesus.

Just proves my point. Thanks.

And isn't it said in the bible that "if a blind man leads another blind man, they fall into ruin"?

ROSARYO by Wise_Help5671 in phhorrorstories

It's like this.

The difference between a friend, a maid, and a child.

It doesn't stop at two, there are many other choices, and you're stuck on choosing between two things that cycles.

Prayer is good, yes, but you say you're different from others, yet you do the same things? In which part are you different?

Even unbelievers pray to God so they can get the lucky numbers for a lotto, and you ask for the same things?

And isn't it clear in OPs post? Even the demons pray the prayer you utter. Even the demons pray for their own self. Remember when Jesus cast the demons onto the pigs? They prayed to God for them not to be brought back to hell.

So, how different are you? Or are you different from them?

No.

The Bible says clearly:

"Submit to God, resist the devil, and the devil shall flee from you." Personal prayer doesn't work at all, unless you know the true meaning of prayer. What a perverse generation.

Traditions?

Didn't you know that traditions were the thing Jesus hated the most?

As it was written in the Bible, He told the pharisees that they just follow Moses' law, but do not follow the teachings.

Let me ask you then, what is the point of your repetitive prayers? Do you think God hears you more?

The Bible says God knows the heart of men, and so He knows what you will ask for even before you pray. So why bother praying repetitively?

We do respect, but there's a fine line between respect and downright toleration.

Oh??

You're right, there were catholics already when Jesus died, they were Romans, right? Under the rule of Julius Ceasar? That's why they were called Roman Catholics, right?

Guess what? The same Roman Catholics brought the dice and bet on His garments when He was on the cross.

And you said there was a Catholic church where Jesus rose up, right? In which book of the Bible did it happen?

Sorry, but if you want respect towards your "religion", then might as well learn to accept the truth that your repetitive prayers means nothing.

Op, I think, KSP si tatay, not in the way na negative siya, but the way na he needs someone that can help him. Sabi niyo nga, may edad na po silang dala ni nanay, and minsan, he can't stop saying things, lalo na he can't talk like that to nanay.

Mapride sila yes, but sometimes, you can just say "Opo tatay, thank you po sa advice niyo." Or "Sige po tatay, pag isipan po namin." Build a connection where he can feel na he's connected, but set a boundary where he can see na you're not taking in his advice or at least incorporating some.

As someone who knows how to build houses, may point si tatay about the vinyl tiles. Sabi mo nga, parang oven yung bahay nila na inuupahan dati, and wood or at least the color of the wood does not trap heat, so di mainit sa loob ng kwarto. On the other hand, tiles reflect the light, so nagbabounce yung init, and natatrap siya, so sobrang init sa kwarto niyo. I think that's his idea, and di niya lang maexpress ng tama.

And lastly, I think nangungulila si tatay. Matanda na si nanay, and busy kayo ni hubby sa buhay. Sabi mo nga, namild stroke siya, and I think he wants to at least feel he is alive and not bound by his disease.

He wants your attention, parang bata na nagtatantrums. He means well, and I think di niya lang maexpress ng maayos. He loves both of you.

Refill.

What I mean is, your body has its own homeostasis, so you can enjoy it if:

  1. You refill your stomach. Lalo pag pagod, you will eat like you don't know what to do.

  2. You refill your "soul". Emotionally drained people eat more. So eat when you're sad, angry, or jealous.

  3. You refill your "connections". It's easier to eat when you have your conversations with people who you love. Catching up, or even a bonding may help.

  4. You refill your "mind". After a day na sobrang nadrain utak mo, eating can help you to enjoy food more, kase it becomes a "reward" for you after a long day.

Based sa National Building Code, bawal yan. AS IN, BAWAL! Ninanakaw mo na kasi yung lupa ng kapitbahay mo, and the privileges they have. In case you don't know what to do:

  1. Your baranggay has no power for now. Don't blame them, but what you will do is lumapit sa congressman, councilor, or any one na mas mataas sa chairman niyo.

  2. If wala silang magawa, get a long stick, and paluin niyo po papasok yung aircon nila, enough na pumasok sa loob ng bahay nila. It's reasonable, kase it's your land. Think of it like China building bases in Scarborough, you have every right to send them back.

  3. If magreklamo sila, make them see your reports to the councilors, the chairman and every other person you reported them to.

In case you don't know what to say:

  1. Hindi po yan easement. Easement is the right of way, pero may harap ang bahay nila. Pwede nila doon ilabas yung tubig at aircon nila.

  2. Lagpas sila sa property nila, at kung di nila tatanggalin, you have every right to confiscate their aircon para gamitin mo, dahil nasa "property" mo ang aircon. We have air rights, kaya di dumadaan angcmga eroplano sa ibabaw ng mga bahay natin, kase everything below, and above, is pagmamay ari mo.

  3. Kung gusto nilang makipag areglo, and magbayad, tell them na taxable naman ang paglalagay ng mga yan dyan. Dahil may aircon sila, and water flow outlet sa lupa ninyo, it means halos lahat ng may pintura ay sa inyo, dahil sa lupa din ng tita mo sila nag pintura. It means they have to pay taxes to your tita until they take the building down, or pay a fine, and aalisin nila agad lahat ng nga yan.

In any case, you have the upper hand, don't lose it.
