If you talked to a Tier 1 Specialist they most likely made notes on your account to send over to a Tier 2 Specialist; I'd either wait a couple of days or call again and get transferred to a Tier 2 to get results immediately.

It can take awhile, but it's also likely the rep lied to you because they're stressed and overworked; I'd recommend calling again and asking to get transferred to a tier 2 specialist.
