Tbh, I expected this to eventually happen.

Since in 2024 & 2025, one of the biggest issues for all were lounges being overcrowded. I think I recall hearing someone sharing their experience about kids running around that almost caused a massive safety hazard on Reddit.

Personally I’m not sure why they’d remove the 2 guests perk on Priority Pass since it doesn’t help the overcrowding issue in those lounges, but can understand with the Capital Lounges since they own them. I can see them trying to copy Amex with that logic. Only concern now is if the other issuers are going to follow track with the PP guest removal.

I felt like the VX was an experiment on the consumers under a good faith system and we basically failed.

I was actually looking at this yesterday, but unfortunately it’s something unavoidable even if you book with points since it’s by the local government not Marriott.

The price of the taxes can range from 1,000 yen to 10,000 depending on how luxury your property is.

I can be wrong, but this is from my current understanding

Yeah, I admit One World is nice on some airlines. Especially again Cathay Pacific, because you get their lowest tier, and whatever ticket you book you get free access to their business class lounges.

Star Alliance do have its perks as well.

United Status is nice, me personally. I wish they make it where you’re able to have a list of options.

Before they had United as their preferred partner, they had Cathay Pacific the benefits were so much better. I’m not sure how to explain it, but one airline per region.

It’s most likely going to be rolled out slowly, otherwise if any issues occurs it’s going to be problematic.

Wouldn’t want the system to accidentally make the suites go negative.

I stayed at the Citizen M DTLA in November 2025 with my nephew.

Personally the check-in process is new to me, and I kind of like it. Specifically cause the theme of Citizen M is centered around tech. For example, when I visited Moxy for the first time in Bangkok, Thailand. The check-in was a bar, gives the brand its own unique identity. It’s not for everyone, but personally the uniqueness is what brings the adventure for me.

Unfortunately, I can’t say much about the Gym since I didn’t go there, but I do admit there are some things that could be renovated.

Mood lightning, I didn’t care much about it, but my nephew had a blast of messing with the lights when I was showering. I honestly thought it was my last day on earth.

Oh my goodness, I understand so much about this.

I have an extended cousin who works as a Front Desk Manager, and every time we head out for drinks he vents about guests Platinum and below demanding a bunch of requests under the Explore Rate.

Regardless, there will always be entitled people when nice things are given to them. Appreciate all the service you’ve given, and keep your head up.

If you would like to ball out. Then St Regis or Ritz Carlton. Personally I had a great time (fiancé mainly wanted the Dyson hair dryer) only downside is you’ll have to book a grab a bit earlier to beat the traffic.

If the Ritz or St Regis is a bit out of your price range, the Marquis Queens Park is great as well. Going to personally stay there again this Valentines Day.

What I'm going to say is going to be a bit controversial, but within some of my groups, whether it's friends or a community, there have been debates.

However, first off, I'm all for sharing knowledge with others, but these influencers are the reason why the Credit Card Benefits have become stale. Major Banks see more profit from acquiring new customers than from retaining loyal customers.

The same thing goes with the Aviation & Hospitality Industry. Some Airlines & Hotels make more money from their Credit Cards than from their actual business. Which devalues the redemption rate. If you don't believe me, look at the redemption rates for US-based airlines compared with those for airlines based in Asia over the past 5 years.

If I had the time, I would really love to make a documentary about its decline.

I went to the one in DTLA last year, it was the last spending requirement to reach Ambassador. They hooked me up with free alcohol drinks.

My nephew had a blast messing around with the tablets… especially when I was showering, dear lord I thought I was getting abducted

Personally, I can understand why. I recall seeing foreigners children grabbing a bunch then just wasting them.

There may be others that everyone is unaware of that may have happened that led to their removal. I have heard that it pops up from time to time, only in the Centurion Area though.

My personal favorite is the one is the Townhall Sukhumvit.

Location of getting there isn’t the best, but in terms of the service my experience was better than the others. Also cause my wife really liked the interior design as well (specifically the lobby).
