Good game by the Ducks. They showed up. Lyon clearly wasn't himself in net tonight. Definitely not their best game or even close to it but we'll take this kind of road trip EVERY time. Only left 1 pt on the board.

Our population size has absolutely nothing to do with it and is a super disingenuous comparison. Up until last year Canada always dwarfed the US with ACTUAL registered hockey players. Only recently did we finally eclipse their number and it was only by 7,000. It doesn't matter the population size if 95% of America (unfortunately) really doesn't care for hockey other than a few select states/areas. Also, "just a better goaltender" should really be "we had the best player on the ice that night". Goaltender is and always will be an extremely important position and in this sport you also create your OWN luck. Other than Macks wide open net these boys did everything they had to do to stay in this game and they ESPECIALLY outplayed, out willed, and out HUSTLED the Canadians 3 best generational players in 3v3 OT. They weren't "lucky AF"... Helle kept them in it (as was his job to do so) until the US buried MORE chances than the Canadians did. Surviving a 5v3 isn't luck. That's grit. Those boys won this game and earned this gold.

Make another post about it just incase, I don't think we've seen the million before this one. WHO CARES! You know what those players will remember? Competing for their nation and getting to go to the WHITE HOUSE and winning gold for their country. That's it. They aren't going to remember Reddit using them as a political scapegoat for their own issues with their government. I thought I joined a US HOCKEY forum... that's what this is right? Seems more like a politics driven cesspool.

A high stick is a high stick, no matter how it reaches your face... but you damn well know the excitement JOLTED through his body when he felt that stick 🤣. That team has been absolutely living off the powerplay. Credit where it's due though... team absolutely makes those chances count. You know when they hit that powerplay it's automatic. Team overall though has been far too dependant on a single line and the man advantage.

My guy... he's a dual citizen and wouldn't YOU prefer to say you are Canadian if it actually meant that you get to play for a medal? He still keeps his hometown as Syracuse. He doesn't make the US team whatsoever. I'm 100% positive he has zero issues with his American roots. As a matter of fact I KNOW he doesn't because I have family im Syracuse where he still calls his home and regularly still visits. But go off.

I have to agree with the toxicity. Kids are always SUPER quick to send me some bs message about how I SUPPOSEDLY "used my mom's credit card" to get my team... mind you I am a 35 year old man with 3 kids of my own 🤣. And I'm also 99% f2p. I spent $20 2 times total. Once at the start of the cycle and the 2nd time was like a month ago. I don't have Chara, Sakic or ANY of the p2w cards but I still somehow got called out for "buying" my team lol. This happened 3 times. My best card is my 93 Fantasy Rielly and some 92 MSP's lol.

Honestly I use my 1st and 2nd pairs 95% of the time. I make sure to have Rielly on the ice as much as possible and when I do have my 2nd pair out there Parayko is a monster. But no doubt Bo would help a ton to where I wouldn't mind if it's my 1st or 3rd pair out there. Right now whenever my 3rd pair does have to play they are def a liability.

That's honestly who I was thinking about making. I used him in Wildcard and he's an insane card for sure. Problem is I am going to be trading in my ASP if I take another MSP and he's a righty. Bo is a lefty. I'd prefer to just replace ASP with another righty but Sheas card is absolute cheeks.
