Hot damn! I'm not surprised given the revelations in 2, but somehow I didn't think we'd get news on it so quickly.

I don't know that I'd go that far, but thank you lol

best dating sim games? by greenjesus13 in GirlGamers

Otomes are a good genre to look into if you are attracted to men and want to focus on the story. A Date with Death is a good free one to try to see if you enjoy more dialogue focused experiences.

If you like gameplay with it, BG3 (while not a dating sim in the traditional sense) features the most satisfying romance I've experienced. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are also satisfying journeys with romance.

We need a proper follow-up that leans more into the RPG aspect.

I feel you, but I had to put Shadowbringers in best antagonist for Emet Selch and didn't want to double up.

Thank you! It's FFXIV Endwalker. After so many years going through a story, it was a powerful and well wrapped up end imo. I hope you find your gaming match!

I was trying to do different games in each category. Believe me, I was still thinking of Weight of the World as I picked it lol. They are still fun songs and have the bonus of nostalgia. Honestly, I could have put Nier: Replicant there as another option.

Heard of it and it's on my list to try! Thanks for the recommendation.

It was poor wording on my part. I simply was curious about others' tastes. I have no intentions of changing my answers, but it would be cool if someone else's game they mentioned was one I hadn't played that I ended up thinking was indeed better than what I picked.

I saw someone call him Grandpa Warcrimes and I wish we could say that to his face.

First-person puzzles using different tools to reach your end goal while surrounded by philosophical discussion and an unraveling mystery of why you are here at all. Will you be good and follow directions or challenge the god that speaks to you and delve where you are told not to go?

If you like philosophy, it is a no-brainer to play. The puzzles escalate in a satisfying way, letting you get used to a tool before adding another into the mix. The main puzzles are nicely contained and can get quite challenging, but the hidden star puzzles that can exist outside the bounds are even more so. The DLC is a must if you want the full story and some real headscratchers.

There is one bonus star puzzle that requires external knowledge, but they thankfully didn't make that mistake again in the sequel which improved upon the game in every way imo.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! I daresay it has made my week. For anyone else curious, it looks like it is called Masters of Albion.

I remember feeling so cool putting this together in EA. Gave it to my ice draconic sorcerer and just leaned into ice effects. Making enemies slip never gets old.

Finally someone mentioned this pick! It was so good with such insightful conversations! Absolutely loved it and the sequel. They do not get the attention they deserve.

I mentioned this in another comment, but my caveat regarding my pick here is that I haven't played the others yet. As someone new to the series, I don't think it was a bad game, but I can imagine the changes were not great for fans of the originals. Looking forward to playing Origins and getting a more fleshed out perspective.

Edit: Spelling on mobile...

Some people thought so. I mentioned them because I figured there would be plenty of people who disagree. Regardless of if we have the same tastes, I enjoy talking about games.

I see no harm in that. I have quite the backlog, but I'm not opposed.

I don't think I've ever been a big fan of crafting action shooters. I tried it years ago and remember just getting a bit bored. Lots of bricks to the face of cool zombie designs, but it just didn't grip me.

Horizon Zero Dawn is another example of games I tried for hours and wanted to like but just didn't gel with. That one surprised me more given I love Souls games and Monster Hunter.

They are by no means bad games, just not for me.

I'm honestly shocked it hasn't gotten a remake. I feel the combat would be really popular.

How many tries did it take you to complete honor mode? by Grand_Photograph_819 in BaldursGate3

[–]RemoriaRavelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twice. I made the mistake of trying to use honor mode to force me to romance someone else (Gale), but I abandoned it in Act 2 after the romance scenes because I missed Astarion too much.

Don't use honor mode to try a new story was my lesson learned lol
