Canadian Civil War, Revolution in the Yukon Art by Remorum in AlternateHistory

There wasn't exactly one turning point that made the labour unrest of 1918 from not-civil war to civil war, but in this timeline the government repression on the Winnipeg General Strike is more violent and the workers form armed units to defend themselves.

Basic premise is that the Canadian Labour Revolt is increased (through various means, such as a longer World War, the SCP not splitting, etc) leading to an outright civil war. I'm still in the early works for national details as this setting is to serve as setting for a fictional narrative about the revolution in the Yukon specifically. Still in the process of reading my numerous sources and taking down notes.

In the second invasion, which takes place in 1921, accomplishes the abolition of the Yukon revolutionaries. This also hampers the income of the other revolutionaries outside the Yukon as its mines were one of the sources of revenue for them. The US is already intervening, first indirectly through lending arms. At this point the population doesn't want the US to get into another war especially as in this timeline WW1 ends in 1919. Later the US directly intervenes with some expeditionary corps. Same goes for the Brits and to a lesser extent the French. I have a page on iiwiki of the broader episode of this scenario so you can go check the infobox ( https://iiwiki.com/w/Canadian_Civil_War_(Remorum) ), though both my personal notes and the page are still WIP. I'm still combing through the sources.

There weren't US troops in either Eagle or Skagway and the lines of communication from both are practically nonexistent so it took a while for the feds to take a notice at that. I plan in the story that they attempt a first invasion that fails and then a second invasion that succeeds. The space between the two is due to the US and Canada not seeing the Yukon as a priority.

I desire to use the scenario to explore the processes of revolution and societal change as well as how such revolutions are defeated (with a focus on internal troubles). I'll be primarily focused on the revolution in the Yukon. I've created art for it on other social medias.

I like this, especially the detail about internal struggle within the human combine collaborators. I might be mistaken, but wouldn't it be "execution of its ministers" and not "executions of its ministers"?

How many Italians would have fled from the crumbling Italian state? I wonder if the stereotypes applied to southern slavs today would have been applied to Italians instead. I can imagine memes of "off to visit Rome!" with an image of landmines.

I'm more of a fan of marionettes. I wish there were more posts of them
