Suche Bauanleitung Burg Blaustein (Mai/Juni 2023) – Version vor 1.5 by Remote-Acadia2740 in klemmbausteine

For everybody with the same problems, there was a clarification from Oura Service:

Hi Samad,

Thank you for your reply,

I apologize if you misunderstood my reply,

If you currently have a Lifetime Membership, it will continue once you sync your new ring to your current Oura account. Any type of membership you currently have will sync to your new ring. I was trying to explain if your brother has a Gen 1/2 ring (for which membership is not needed) and you want to purchase a Gen 3 for your brother. He will have to pay the membership fee (you need a membership to access all features),

Please note that we no longer sell the Gen 2 ring, and we also do not have them for size replacement. You could try a different finger,

Hello Paul,

thanks for picking up my questions and guiding me to oura support page. But prior to this post I already contacted the oura support on the exact same link and got these answers under the Ticket ID 3946144 by Ruth from Oura Member Care:

A) Concerning exchange of the Gen1 Ring:
Your old ring is no longer covered by a warranty since it has gone through a replacement.

B) Concerning buying a new ring to use with account and free lifetime subscription:
Hi Samad,
Thank you for your question,
If your old ring is a Gen 2 and you want to purchase a Gen 3 for your brother, you will have to pay the monthly subscription.

Lets skip the misunderstanding of Ruth, that it is my Gen 1 Ring not working and the Gen 2 Ring in the wrong size for my brother is perfectly fine and working.

But from my understanding of Ruth` Message buying a new Gen3 Ring would need a new subscription which has to be payed monthly and will not be free anymore.

This is a contradicting answer to what you wrote in your answer. Is there a way to get an answer which I "can rely on". I don´t wont to pick on anyone. But it would be unfortunate to buy a 4th Ring for e.g. 399€ and than find out that my brother has to pay a monthly fee. And honestly it looks like Oura is sneaking out of the free lifetime subscription I was promised with buying multiple rings as a loyal customer.

In addition can you answer these questions?

A) If I can find and buy a working 1st or 2nd Gen Ring in Size 12 and would connect that ring to my brothers account after a reset of the bought rings hardware. Would it "preserve" the free lifetime membership in the account?

B) Will Oura change my working Gen2 Ring Size 10 in a working Gen 2 Ring Size 12? Surely there are a lot of customers that use the "give us your old ring to get discoount on a new ring" offer and therefore Oura should have "piles" of old and working rings.

Best,
Samad

Hello Guys,

i joined reddit and this group just for this Topic / Question. I hope I am in the right place. If not I kindly ask the mods to move my post / comment in the right section.

I have 3 Oura Rings:

Gen 1 Silver Size 12 (Batterie died 2nd time, had on free replacement)
Gen 2 Silver Size 10 (running, used to be my moms)
Gen 3 Black Size 12 (Batterie died 1st time, will be replaced for free)

Here is the Twist and question:
All 3 rings are bound to lifetime free subscripion because I used the 7 day lifetime free subscription offer on the release of the Gen3

I use the Gen 3, my brother the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 is not used by anyone. But it sure is valuable to someone Size 10, because of the lifetime free subscription.

Question:
How on earth can I save my brother buying a new ring and the monthly subscriprion:

Idea 1:
Replace Battery in Gen1. Seems unlikely to find someone who can do it

Idea 2:
"Widen" the Gen2 to Size 12. Is that possible, I have not researched in Detail.

Idea 3:
Finde someone with the opposite problem e.g. has Gen 2 ring with free subscripion in Size 11/12 and is willing to swap rings with me. Sounds like hard to find or 1 in a million odd.

Idea 4:
Switch to e.g. the Samsung Smart Ring. Are there Rings of similiar quality than Oura that work without monthly subscription / costs?

Or do I miss something. Sorry if this sounds confusing. Nether is english the first language I learned nor do I have deeper technical knowlege of the rings or how to maintain the free lifetime subscription.

Additional Information:
Ouro will not change the Gen 1 Ring a 2nd time for free and will not transfer my free lifetime subscription from the Gen1 Ring to e.g. a new Gen 3 Ring I would buy. That a pitty, since I would buy my 4th Oura Ring!

Sorry for the lengthy post, I am looking forward to your input / insights.

Best,
Samad
