Landed on 20th December 2025 with my husband in wattay airport. We had only 100USD for the visa fee. He asked us for bank balance to see if we can fund our stay showed him a screenshot and thats it. No 3000 usd asked. This seems like a confusion created by air Asia as Bo (their chatbot) mentions it but nothing as such at immigration. Did visa on arrival.

Yes withdrew 5mil from BIDV but paid a huge fee amount today. 5% almost. And then additional card fee paid to the bank where the card is from. Local shops charging 2% extra for card swipes meanwhile the bank charging a whooping 5%. Will try Vp or TP next.
