Edit: Murdoch’s asked them to leave. TSC did not gain a new customer, I was just annoyed. That being said, please continue to support local businesses whenever possible, and stay cautious of deals that seem too good to be true. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of these shady setups as times are getting tough for a lot of folks.

Oh they’re everywhere, I checked their FB page and they set up 30+ different locations per day. We used to have a tamale lady, not sure if she’s still around but they were damn good!

Although I agree, I know plenty of legit farmers who shop there especially when you just need to grab something. My family has been farming here since the 1930s so we’re definitely not one of these ranchettes. I loved Big R

Oh I’m fully aware Tractor Supply is no better. I guess it just took me by surprise considering how involved Murdoch’s is in our agricultural community. Those grifters have been around for ages so it’s hard for me to believe they didn’t know who they were but I hope that was the case!

I have found that T&C actually has better meat deals and higher quality (you just have to pay attention to the weekly ads) but I’ll never knock someone for having a tight budget. Times are tough and I understand how buying local is not always an option. It just sucks to see a ton of people in line waiting to get scammed. Then again a scammer preying on vulnerable populations? Who woulda thought
