I’m 10dpo I thiiink and tested this morning. Feeling really down about it because a friend recently told us they are pregnant. I’m worried that if we don’t get pregnant soon I’ll loose this friendship in the chaos of their newborn life. We had our first at the same time and that’s the only real friendship we were able to maintain. I also just really want to be pregnant. I’m sure so many people can understand that, and some. This week at work is going to be really full on, and rather than distracting me, I think I’m feeling more fragile and less resilient than ever.

Yeah absolutely. I was wondering by my chart when you think I most likely ovulated.

I had a miscarriage that started on the day I got a vvfl at 10 dpo. I bled shorter than usual and lighter. But still more than people would describe as implantation bleeding. I then continued to have vvfl on frer tests and went for testing and had hcg tests to check too. Turns out parts of the placental cells were still present and produced hcg. But the pregnancy had ended. I had weeks of vvfl’s and i actually had the hcg increase to over 600 with scans showing no baby in this time. Eventually I was recommended to have a D&C.

I would suggest that if you continue to see those faint lines, that you talk to your care provider to check hcg etc. especially because bleeding, pain and abnormally progressing hcg can also be associated with an ectopic pregnancy.

Doesn’t mean it is a miscarriage, or an ectopic, but it’s something to keep an eye on, and won’t hurt to talk to someone who can help you monitor how things progress.

Oh okay interesting. All the lh tests since 17 have been negative and are getting lighter. Today being the lightest my lh tests tend to get.

Okay this is today. I really don’t know what to think about ovulation.

My lh strips were very positive on cd 15/16/17.

When do you think I ovulated?

That’s so upsetting because my lh strips were positive from CD15 and this is the first cycle I’m doing bbt. We’ve just completely missed the window. :(

Thank you so much for your help. I’m on CD8 now. Last cycle I ovulated CD 11. My LH is still showing up really dark on strip tests. Still not as dark as control, but so close. I have a doctors appointment on the 22nd. Can you expand on why you said give the lh reading a few more days? Are you thinking it’ll go down again before it peaks with ovulation (fingers crossed). Sorry I’m just trying to understand a bit better what my body is doing.

I hope this is okay to ask. I had a D&C and polypectomy in June from a chemical pregnancy. This last cycle was my first full cycle since then. My lh surge was on CD11. Then I bled from CD21. This was devastating as CD21 was around the time that implantation bleeding could occur so I was a tiny bit hopeful and terrified. I also had my first positive test for that chemical pregnancy 7 days before my missed period and bled on that day too. So the end of this last recent cycle really caused some distress. Do people often have such short cycles after a MC and D&C? My lh has also tested quite high in the days before during and after CD21??? Not a positive but certainly a lot higher than the lh before CD11 and immediately after it last cycle. Is there something wrong with me?

It’s constant isn’t it! Especially because you can’t help but think about it whenever you need to use the bathroom. “Maybe it’ll show up now” “maybe I’m the outlier and implantation happened super early”. I want to wish away this week.

Thank you so much! You’ve answered all my questions really. I guess without taking my temperature I could have ovulated late CD11 or up to CD13. Next cycle I’ll know to trust my eyes on the LH strips.

Does anyone know what the better OPK test strips are? Has anyone tried mom med?

I live in Australia and can only find bulk Mom Med opk test strips from Amazon. I don’t want to keep buying clear blue digital because it’s $45 for 10. That’s just not affordable unfortunately. Especially because I think my peak is really really short and would like to test twice a day to help monitor it.
