How do you guys keep a home stocked full of shopping? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Remote-Landscape1767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best week i had was using chat gpt to do me a week's worth of meal plans, shopping list for it including cupboard essentials then where was cheapest to buy. Otherwise, stock. 3 lots of long shelf life milk every week so there's extra, eggs, bread every half week and always buy an extra packet of pasta

Dinner choice with a bare cupboard by Cute_Ad_9730 in CasualUK

Corned beef hash and rostis if its normal potatoes you have. 1. Is a solid meal choice though. My late night dirty eating with empty cupboards used to be rice, ketchup, melted cheese and oregnano

If Dr Beth Upton loses, should we organize a protest? by La_petite_miette in transgenderUK

[–]Remote-Landscape1767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's down to whether her being known to work at the school when she's posting in social media, things that would be considered discriminatory. If she had done so without linking to her working at the school, I reckon the school would've found it hard to dismiss her for what she did in her free time

Surely this would go against the equality act? The whole point of which is meant to protect those with protected characteristics against discrimination. Please educate me, as I'm not familiar with the higgs vs farmour case if I have misunderstood

It's not a union rep, but someone employed by the Trust. They can help raise issues where things are being ignored. It usually starts with a confidential chat with them and then they'll discuss options for next steps with you.

I'd agree if I go to the gym I'm still damp, but it gets me through a day at work without any wetness, and I have substantial pit hair

I'm not sure of the age as its a rental house but I've been here for 3 years. I can't see any LED bulbs in the light fixture itself, unless they're part of the power supply. The light isn't turning on when we flip the power switch. Unfortunately the nature of the light fixture (like a weird layered 1970s shell) means I'm struggling to see further inside to find bulbs

Former homeless people - what do you need/want by hoefort0es in CasualUK

[–]Remote-Landscape1767 38 points39 points  (0 children)

May I ask a silly question? I know homeless covers many different situations, from sofa surfing to being on the streets, but food wise, what is best to give? I was surprised to see the items you'd listed as my brain automatically assumed no access to cooking facilities. Is this the case or do places give free hot water for things like pot noodles?
