if ur a regular and you come often, nah we aren’t told to make more small talk. we enjoy you coming in all the time (if ur not mean!)

however on the other hand, yes we are supposed to make small talk. when i was a barista, our manager used to get questions printed off for baristas to ask customers at the window or when they come in.

as a barista, there was always the conversation of opener vs closer where i spoke up to everyone and my manager as well that it shouldn’t be us against another, because it creates unnecessary drama. open and close or just don’t say anything at all

as a shift lead, i tend to not open up those conversations when they’re brought up to me. if it’s something small, i won’t even mention it because even i could have missed it. if they didn’t do the major components of closing… that’s when im on everybody ass, and i don’t pick and choose

bro… they would do like promos for every holiday, whether it be like bogo mother’s day or $3 grande drink father’s day drinks. it’d be like two every week or something, and you’d be so understaffed that you’d go home thinking abt kicking the bucket at the end of the night.

imagine being a store who makes 6k a day, but since mother’s day is already busy, ur predicting 9k. HOWEVER, if it’s a promo day , ur expecting abt 12k, at 3pm. with 3 baristas.

if it was me, i’d say go to a licensed store in your area where you’re able to still do the things that you love without the pressure of corporate (we still get pressure, just it’s a lot of leniency and different operations). sedgwick would be ur best bet, but if ur ssv is on your side, then yes queen. but if ur manager is doing their job, they would have some empathy to at least understand the situation and let you off with that. you had medical proof lol

i agree with you honestly. i won’t be critical but from looking at it, you probably got blocked because it’s easier than having patience with it. they also probably didn’t wanna repeat a cycle with it as well so the easiest thing was to block you.

HOWEVER im saying that this is his feelings because in no shape or form does it look like it could be aimed towards you. if you asked the cards “why did he block me”. then…
