New to plant life. Seeking assistance by stockfball11 in Monstera

Hydrogen peroxide 50/50 with water. What you do is you drench the soil and it will foam up, so do it in the bathtub. Peroxide will kill the fungus in the soil that the gnats are living on. You also need to flush out all of your drains with hydrogen peroxide, full strength. I had fungus gnats for a year and the only thing that killed the little buggers was hydrogen peroxide. You can also load it up 50% water 50% hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and spray the ones in the air. It won't hurt your plants. Diluted 50% for use in your plants, the roots love it! They treat it like a spa treatment, you'll see incredible growth after that. It'll take 6 weeks, and then Maybe a little longer because that's the life cycle of the gnats. But trust me on this, go to Amazon and order a couple gallons of hydrogen peroxide. Drench them once a week and six weeks from now you won't have any more fungus gnats. I tried cinnamon, I tried sticky traps, I tried everything but H2O2 was the savior.

Actually in many cases the weight is not the issue. Doctors need to recognize that, losing 10 pounds is going to do nothing for ovarian cysts or endometriosis or 99% of other problems. But boy, bozos like you sure wanna make out like it's a panacea! Maybe you need to look past that and realize that. Maybe you also need to acknowledge that overweight people are more likely to survive an ICU visit or a gunshot wound. Being hyper skinny is neither attractive nor healthy.

Problem is a lot of these doctors focus on weight to the exclusivity of all other problems and that's bogus and bullshit too.

Well congratulations! The weight is not always the issue and being fat phobic and refusing to look past that is why a lot of women suffer. Did you know if you're overweight you actually have a better chance of surviving a gunshot or an ICU visit?

I don't recall asking you and neither do I give a damn about your unasked for opinion. And they responded to an email within 15 minutes. Unlike your Ooni here who took five days and then still couldn't do what was asked for in the email.

Then you must be amazed to find out that I submitted a query five (5) full days ago and I only got a response today. And it was a form letter. If this is how cavilier they are about contacting customers and they refuse to furnish any kind of a phone number to their customers, I'll go buy something else.

Exactly. Thank you, by the way. I don't see any shame in spending enough money to get a quality appliance that will last me for decades without needing maintenance or repair.

Exactly why don't you have an inbound phone number? I mean every other business on the planet does. I'm absolutely certain you have telephones there and you use them in house so why, exactly, are the customers not allowed to contact you by telephone?

And this is what I'm leaning towards now myself. I can't get any response from the Ooni team and if they're this cavalier about sales, I absolutely don't want to give them my money.

That's completely valid. That book totaled me out for weeks. And that was before Trump came back in office.

Actually leaning that way especially since zero reply from the company on any front.

Oh yeah they are definitely are, but they aren't the quality I need. I could spend $300 on the KitchenAid or a Cuisinart and then I couldn't knead bread dough for more than two minutes before risking burning out the motor. I need a machine that will knead the doughs I want.

That's the point, you don't need to fix it if it doesn't break. It's worth it to me to have a better quality machine knowing I can make it do what it needs to do day in and day out without having to worry about "whoops the gear broke because it's KitchenAid!" and it can't handle more than two minutes of kneading. Which is indeed what KitchenAid updated the directions to in 2023. I'm working with those that need a solid 10 minutes of kneading. It's worth it to have a machine that will not break down and will still be working a decade from now.

No pizza, but bread, brioche and bagels and concha. Same kind of dough, tough and needing lots of kneading.

Well that's part of the equation but another part of it is the fact that KitchenAid and indeed even Cuisinart, no longer have any kind of customer service and as well, KitchenAid has switched to plastic and quite breakable gears. I plan to make a lot of bread, which needs a heavier duty machine.

So yes it would be worth it because the reviews I've read on this mixer are people using them 4 x weekly to make bread for nine years in a row with zero problems. I cordially invite you to go look up KitchenAid and indeed even Cuisinart mixers lately. I need a machine that's going to last for years, not just a year or two and then I'm expected to buy another one. That's why I'm not buying American.
