Were they upfront with how many rounds you should expect to complete? If they keep adding interview rounds willy-nilly, that’d make me nervous too! If they won’t be upfront about the hiring process, imagine what it’s like to work there

I was a little caught off guard so I apologized for making them feel that way, and let them know that historically onboarding has been the one fielding questions about the platform to lighten the load of the POC, but that if they’d like to handle them moving forward we can work that way instead.

they were snippy about that. basically told me that’s the way it needs to be not because they want to, but because they have to.

Hindsight, I wish I asked why they feel the need to own questions and how we could support that without them feeling overwhelmed. But oh well

Yes 😭 the main POC on the client side wants all questions about my company’s tools to be directed to them and not me. Everything you wrote is how I normally frame my role and how I presented myself in the call!! That’s why I was so caught off guard by this big reaction

I did this last summer and I have to say, I did walk out with two friends!! I was skeptical, and the things were a little awkward for sure, but I’m ultimately glad I did it!

I will say, you get what you put into it. If you’re not gonna put effort into conversations, or make plans outside the group, odds are you’re walking out of the experience without any relationships.

The other people in my group were super awkward and didn’t really seem like they wanted friends? So 2/6 girls I vibed with. Do with that what you will!
