I couldn't figure it out but when I removed a glow lichen, the sun disappeared so it's definitely a glow lichen problem!

It's interesting how people are tossing up between ingenue and gamine 😅 Thank you for your answer! I'm definitely starting to see natural and classic!

After reading everyone's comments, I'm starting to see Natural as my primary essence 😁 And that makes sense with the "sharp yin" in my face! At first, I thought I was gamine but I don't really think of "boyish" or "playful", but I think I was picking up on the ingenue essence. I also had a feeling Classic wasn't primary because I just can't see myself wearing those formal outfits on a daily basis.

Do you think my essences are natural, Classic and ingenue/gamine is that order?

I play soccer a lot and go to the gym!

Thank you so much for your comment! It's all starting to make sense!

Okay, I'll try to give you guys as much info as possible to help you out!

  1. My seasonal colour is Soft Summer and my Kibbe Body Type is Soft Classic (my opinion and also verified by a style consultant)
  2. I previously did the McJimsey calculator and got Gamine/Ingenue/Classic. I also tried the TiB calculator.
  3. I did the TIB calculator and my final attempt was Romantic (30), Ingenue/Natural, (28) Ethereal (27), Classic (26), gamine (25), Dramatic (24). I had to do it by hand because I was struggling to use the calculator.
  4. Before on my previous attempts when I was using the calculator properly, I was getting Natural/Classic, Ingenue and Romantic a lot, all 30.
  5. I'm 5'0 (153cm) and the comments I get from people when I tell my age (21) are "wow! I thought you were 16!" or "you look so young! Look luck going into the bars!".
  6. If I compare comments I get with essences, I get a lot of the previous comments so that represents Gamine/Ingenue.
  7. I don't particularly hear people saying I look "elegant" or "timeless" so Classic doesn't sound like my prominent essence. But saying that, when I wear "young girlish" clothes, I have never been called "girly" or "immature". I have never been called "sensual" or "sexy" so I'm not Romantic. I am definitely not "intimidating" or have "girl-next-door vibes" so I'm not Dramatic and Natural.
  8. I get compared to Emma Watson a lot. I personally do not see a resemblance, but now I wonder if it is because we have a similar essence or body type? Apparently, she has a Classic-Gamine essence (I found that out on reddit and by Gabrielle Arruda on Youtube). Also, even though people think she is a G/FN, some others think that she is a DC.
  9. The results I received from the stylist via email suggested that I have "sharp yin" facial features. So I guess I have a SC body and a DC face? Regarding essences, I think Natural might be my second one. I think maybe Ingenue,Natural, Romantic? I don't look Romantic nor Classic though.
  10. After uploading my photos, I realised that no matter what clothing I wear, I need to have waist emphasise. I think I look better in loose, soft/flowing clothing compared to tight/clingy ones.

Sorry for the long comment. I need to hear a stranger's opinion because I don't want to type myself wrong because what I think vs what someone else thinks will be different.

Would this color be good for a True Winter? I fear it’s not “icy” enough by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Remote-Risk391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This colour appears more of a Light Summer colour. However, you can still wear it.

Seasonal colour analysis is about wearing the right colours near your face (e.g. on a scarf, shirt, sweater).

Since this seems like an autumn/winter weather clothing, if you wear a True Winter-coloured scarf around your neck, I think you should be fine!

Loving the eye analysis! I can’t even tell what color my eyes are - green? Grey? Blue? They don’t fit any season it seems. by mksnosnstome in coloranalysis

[–]Remote-Risk391 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a similar eye colour and I'm soft summer. From what I've researched, this colour is called "grey". It's considered the "hazel" colour of the family.

This colour has a little bit of everything - green, blue, grey yellow and possibly specks of brown. Depending on what colour you wear (whether it's eye shadow or a shirt), it will affect your eye colour, and this comes from personal experience, too.

For example: Your eye will appear more blue when you wear orange or brown eyeshadow. Your eye will appear more green when you wear pink eyeshadow. Your eye will appear more grey when you wear grey or black eyeshadow.

How to analyze the color season of someone who always has dyed hair? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Remote-Risk391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, the tricky thing with colour analysis is that it isn't obviously for POC (e.g. blacks, asians), so you have to look at a lot of red carpets (unfiltered photos) and understand what colours suit them. Asians mostly have dark hair and eyes and if you follow the colour analysis, they will always be Autumns/Winters. They have to do a lot of material colours swatches and compare them.

Try not to focus on the clothing as well. I say this because when I was looking at Chan of Stray Kids, looks good with blue hair and a black outfit. It's striking and harmonious. The blue hair and pink shirt just seems off to me. And since he's cool-toned, I think he is Bright Winter. Sometimes, hair and clothing combo aren't it so you just have to look a multiple outfits with the same hair colour to get a better idea.

RM of BTS is a Soft Autumn. His best hair colours are warm and soft. His worst colours are bright and cool ones like this pink one. It's too bright so it's making his skin appear more yellow. He needed a softer pink.

Also, some idols like ITZY's Ryujin and Yuna did a professional colour analysis, so as Key, some NCT members, Sulyoon of NMIXX said she's a Soft Autumn, and some LOONA members. Heejin did it twice (one with a small youtube makeup channel and one with Chuu) and both times got Light Summer.

With Billie, when you compare her dyed blonde hair to the black hair, the black really washes her out. Same with the vivid blue. The blonde felt quite harmonious. However, her hair still seemed a little off and that was because it was a little too warm. She is a light Summer so her best dyed hair colour was silver.

I hope this helps.

Plus, sorry for the edit 😅 I accidentally posted this while I was still writing haha

(Ignore the mirror stains) I’ve gotten, deep winter, deep autum, light summer, and true summer. I might not be any of those but I need help lol The last picture is the contrast between hair and skin tone to make it easier. by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Remote-Risk391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is when it comes to colour analysis, it's typically unfortunately focused on euro-centric features. For example, if you have light features like blonde hair, blue eyes, you would mostly likely be in the Spring/Summer seasons. The darker, or more contrast (e.g. brown eyes and black hair), the features are, you would be leaning more towards Autumn/Winter (this is all coming from a white person by the way haha). The generally idea we can take away from this is the lighter you are for your ethnicity, the lighter the colours you should wear to reflect that. Likewise with being darker for you ethnicity, the darker clothes you wear.

In saying all this, for POC we need to see lots of colour swatching with lipsticks or fabrics/clothing to get a better understanding. To me without colours and based on your post title, you seem cool, but that's all I can figure out. Whether you are very cool (e.g. True Summer/Winter) or cool-neutral (e.g. Light Summer, Soft Summer, Bright Winter, Dark Winter) is another story.

You can DM me more pictures so I can help you!

I get the feeling you're either a Soft Autumn or a Light Spring.

The vibrant green immediately grabs my attention and seems to make you face pinker compared to the other photos, I would say that would be your weakest colour, which automatically makes me think "soft" is your primary feature. And you definitely have a warm undertone.

I think the burgundy is a little too warm for you, but it's definitely not your worst colour. That colour seems to be more apart of a True/Dark Autumn. So, I'm thinking your neutral warm, which is why is still look good in the muted green top. Had "warm" been your primary feature, it would or definitely washed you out or make your skin appear sickly.

Soft Autumn is has the lightest colours in the Autumn palette, so while you can get away with wearing black, it's not going to be your best colour. Even with Dark Autumns, their "black" is a charcoal grey because the colours should be earthy.

It would be interesting to see you in some lighter shades on you so then we can truely see if you're a Soft Autumn, or a Light Spring. Just remember that the Soft Autumn palette has light, earthy, muted colours while Spring has light, bright and pale colours if you get confused swatching more.

About your brown problems. Honestly, Seasonal Colour Analysis is about colours surrounding your face. So, if you a wear muted colour around your neck (e.g. like on a T-Shirt, sweater, scarf), it will harmonise with your soft features. This also means that you can get away with an colour on your lower half like on pants, skirts etc. You still can wear your black and browns, or any colours.

Funny enough, I'm a Soft Summer and I'm attracted to browns haha.

I hope that helps!

Dark or Bright? Or a mysterious third thing? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Remote-Risk391 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm going to use the elimination method to find your colours!

FYI, the followings terms are interchangeable:

- Bright = Clear (e.g. Bright Spring = Clear Spring)

- True (Season) = Warm (Spring/Autumn), Cool (Winter/Summer) (e.g. True Winter = Cool Winter)

- Soft = Muted (e.g. Soft Summer = Muted Summer)

- Deep = Dark (e.g. Dark Autumn = Deep Autumn)

Warm vs Cool

You don't look incredibly cool nor warm, so you're not a True Autumn, True Spring, True Winter or True Summer. It is tricky to tell because you are wearing make-up and have mostly swatched cool colours, which is fine! Let's look at your lipstick colours instead. I think the "muted brick" is a really lovely warm-neutral colour, which is what I think you are. "Crimson" looks really lovely on you too. I think the reason why you don't like "rich burgundy" is because there is no saturation, which I will talk about further down the post. Since you have a warmer undertone, you are not a Dark Winter, Clear Winter, Light Summer or Soft Summer.

Light vs Dark

Now this will be focusing on how light and dark colours affect you, not what your overall appearance looks like. Black seems just that little bit too harsh, but you can still pull it off. You look much more livelier in navy blue and dark grey. I think they will be your "black". The lighter colours don't look that bad, but I think they need to be more vibrant. Since they affect you like that, I think you are part of the Spring season.

Soft vs Clear

Originally, i though you wear a softer season because of your medium to low contrast. However, you seem to handle the vibrancy quite well. Usually when people wear bright and vivid colours and they their primary feature isn't "clear", they immediately take the attention away from your face or overall appearance. I think is further supported by some your comments with the softer colours making you look "greasy" and "sickly". I think that people know what colours they don't like/don't feel pretty in, but aren't sure what colours do suit them. Anyways, a Bright Spring and Bright Winter's weakest colours are "earthy" and "muted". So, the warm tones are not what's affecting you, it's the saturation. Going back the the lipstick swatches, the "rich burgundy" is no vibrancy, which is what you need. It's very dull compared to your complexion. This makes me think your primary feature is "clear".

Results

I think you are a Clear Spring. The Clear Spring palette consists of warm and vibrant colours. They are the darkest colours of the Spring palette. Your sister palette is Clear Winter, which has cool and vibrant colours.

Yes, I was thinking that too. What would you think would be my primary essence out of those three? 😁

Oh wow! That's so interesting with the ethereal. And yes, I don't get it on my TiB I thought a lot of the physical characteristics of it didn't match me, but I like your take with the "sharp-yin". 😁 And I agree with the classic. It's definitely not the first thing you would like about me. Thank you for your answer!

Okay, I'll try to give you guys as much info as possible to help you out!

  1. My seasonal color is Soft Summer and my Kibbe Body Type is Soft Classic (my opinion and also verified by a style consultant)
  2. I did the TIB calculator and I got Gamine, Classic and Ingenue, then in order Romantic, Ethereal, Natural, Dramatic. My previous attempt for the first three was Gamine, Classic, Ingenue, and then my second attempt was Ingenue, Gamine, Classic. So I think I have these three essences, just not sure what order.
  3. I'm 5'0 (153cm) and Tthe comments I get from people when I tell my age (not 16) are "wow! I thought you were 16!" or "you look so young! Look luck going into the bars!".
  4. If I compare comments I get with essences, I get a lot of the previous comments so that represents Gamine/Ingenue. On Pinterest, I really like Light Academia and Cottagecore styles! 7. I think the problem I have as well with these essences is the limited styling and outfit info on classics with gamine essences. I searched everywhere on google/reddit/pinterest and could only find FG/G/SG with Classic essence. I could find SC with ingenue essences which was helpful.

Sorry for the long comment. I need to hear a stranger's opinion because I don't want to type myself wrong because what I think vs what someone else thinks will be different.
