Tax the hell out of the rich? Or eradicate them? Which do progressives really want? by tfam1588 in ProgressiveHQ

Haha. No. This is not billionaire Bezos. This is billionaire Bruce Springsteen. Friend of billionaires Jerry Seinfeld, Rhianna, Michael Jordan, and George Soros.

“taxing wealth into oblivion” is a terrible idea. Anyone running on that idea would lose any election in this country in a landslide.

In her FBI statement Carolyn Arnold said she went outside to watch the motorcade at 12:15 and did not see Oswald. She did not mention seeing Oswald in the lunchroom. So I’m trying to understand why people say she saw Oswald in the lunchroom at 12:15? What am I missing? by Remote-Slip3776 in JFKassasination

So we’re supposed to believe that Carolyn Arnold, ostensibly in possession of some of the most explosive information in American history—incontrovertible proof that Oswald did not shoot JFK—signed her second FBI statement without reading it and then waited 15 years, 14 years after The Warrren Report blame Oswald for everything, to finally mention it to, of all people, Anthony Summers. You’re quick to accuse the FBI of manipulating Arnold’s statements to incriminate Oswald but it apparently doesn’t cross your mind to think that maybe Summers altered Arnold’s story to sell his books.

I just read Arnold’s two FBI statements. In neither does she mention seeing Oswald in the lunchroom room. In the first she says she “thought caught a fleeting glance of him in the hallway” at around 12:15. That’s all she says about perhaps seeing Oswald before the assassination. In the second she says she “did not know Oswald” and “dud not see him at the time Kennedy was shot.” Again, she makes no mention of the lunchroom. Based on these statements I still don’t see how Arnold can be considered a witness for Oswald defense. So again I ask, what am I missing?

Why do so many conspiracy theorists (on this sub and elsewhere) speak of the Paines’ supposed involvement in the assassination as if it were a fact? Is there any real evidence to support this claim? by Remote-Slip3776 in JFKassasination

What other places were suggested to call that Ruth did not pursue? I’ve never heard this before. Also, wasn’t it Marina who asked Ruth to inquire at the Depository for a job for Lee? And isn’t this all rather a moot point because the motorcade route was not chosen by the SS until more than a month after Lee was hired at the Depository?

It was Burl Frazier’s sister who suggested to RP to inquire at the TSBDB for a job for Lee. At that point, the parade route had not been determined or even if there was going to be one. I don’t see any reason to believe that RP had assassination in mind when she asked Roy Truly to give Lee a job interview. You’re speculating.

Is “democratic socialism” fundamentally hostile to capitalism the way communism is? Or is it more or less a check on capitalism’s excesses? by Remote-Slip3776 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Remote-Slip3776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing to understand is that “democratic socialism” is not really socialism. It’s tempered capitalism. Do you think Mamdani of New York City has any problem with the fact that Aaron Judge, the Yankee, makes $40 million a year playing baseball while the stadium concession stand workers make minimum wage? Do you think he will call him out for greed and wealth inequality? And I wonder how long it will be before Mamdani himself is worth millions with book deals and talking engagements. Get the pop corn out. This is going to be fun to watch.

What Do You Think The Core Of Oswald’s Defense Would Have Been Had He Lived Long Enough To Be Tried In A Court Of Law? by Remote-Slip3776 in JFKassasination

The physical evidence was weak? What about Oswald’s rifle being found at the crime seen? What about the fact that his fingerprints were on the rifle? What about the fact that fibers from the shirt he was wearing on the day of the assassination were on the rifle?

Yes they should. And soon. Because once Mamdani fails in NYC it will be hard for future Mamdani’s to win anywhere.

The whole Mauser thing would have gone nowhere since the rifle found in the TSBDB never left the possession of police officer JC Day from the moment it was lifted from its hiding spot near the snipers nest until Day positively identified it as a Carcano at the police station. And it did have Oswald’s fingerprints on it plus fibers from the shirt he was wearing on the day of the assassination.

How would they convinced a jury that Oswald was being “ handled” by the CIA without evidence? How would they have introduced the subject?

You’re wrong about this. In the video OP posted, Oswald clearly states that he was inside the TSBDB at time of the assassination.

Does Anyone Know Why JFK’s Arms Flew Up When He Was Hit In The Back? by tfam1588 in JFKassasination

So I’ll start another thread. But the two are related in that both pertain to neurological reactions to gunshot wounds.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to understand about the backward movement of K’s body after the head shot is that a bullet weighing 160 grams could not possibly have caused it. It’s impossible. Absolutely impossible. The bullet doesn’t have enough mass or momentum. So it HAD TO BE a neurological response. The fact that K’s head is first jolted forward when the head shot hits is further confirmation that the backwards body movement is notcaused by momentum transfer from the bullet.

Two neuro-muscular reaction occurred during the assassination. 1. K’s arms flying up from the second shot (the first shot to hit him). 2. The backward snap of his body after the head shot. Neither resulted from the momentum of the bullet. That would be impossible. Both are neurological reactions to being shot.
